I agree with Kurt though, this masterpiece thats been painted is plainly wrong. Wlad's jab was largely unsuccessful and was not the key to his victory. Ring generalship was.

I have a funny feeling if Haye hadn't talked **** and just came in to this as a 'normal' challenger (albeit a unification) people would be saying how Wlad looked awful.

Just out of interest how did you score Froch/Direll?

seriously i felt Dirrell cost himself in the end, I scored it to Froch (just!) because he tried to make the fight. There's using defence and then there's being negative and ruining the fight. People say that's skilled i can't agree. If Dirrell one that bout it would set a worrying precedent within the sport.

Ie. Back off and hardly engage and land the odd 1 or 2 punches and then hold and maul. Dirrell i believe held 15 times in one round. Flipping Ridiculous.. To me defence is skill/technique at times Dirrell used it but then would run away from punches and hold and grab to stop Froch throwing back. To me that's not defence just breaking rules.

I can see why people gave it to him but if i ref'd that fight Dirrell would of had numerous points off and probs been chucked out if he kept it up.
