You're right. Tony Tucker was a very big fighter, 6'5", and Tyson won a comfortable decision against him. Bonecrusher Smith was only an inch shorter (than Tucker), and Tyson had no problem beating him either. The only man a prime Tyson lost to, Buster Douglas, was shorten than both.
atsch your're not the smart one in the family are you? every family has someone who's... how can i say this... STUPID! you seem to fit the description perfectly. :good
Vlad wins quite comfortably.... would maintain the distance with his jab, untill Tyson was tired by round 5, then Vlad would dominate and get TKO in round 10....
No, Tyson wasnt accustomed to fighting someone who had heart and after Cus died and he slacked off he got stopped by Douglas who was about 2 inches shorter than Klitschko but with Mike being 5'11 still managed to nail him. Klitschko had trouble with Hayes Movement, Imagine what Tyson would do? He was an animal on the inside and I can see Klitschko having the same resolve as Douglas to get back up and win if you saw his earlier knockouts to Sanders and Brewster
Tyson was clearly already slacking off by the time he met Douglas. He was more often than not in the news coming out of clubs at all hours, crashing cars into trees... Everyone knew he was a car crash waiting to happen, though it was surprising it happened quite so soon.
Prime tyson only ever lost to douglas. In that fight he took a hell of a beating and still managed to land a great shot, a shot that would have finished wlad. A way past prime tyson still dominated two beltholders in such ruthless fashion that the general public completely forgot that big george was still the champ. The past prime version had abandoned his great defence and still only lost to holyfield and lewis. Two greats. In both stoppage losses he went out on his shield and came out swinging. Anything after lewis need not be discussed.
Wlad doesn't have the hand or footspeed to keep Mike off of him. He wears him down with pressure and vicious body blows and KOs him in the mid rounds.
And lets not forget how ill prepared he was for the fight. The fact that his team brought no equipment to deal with swelling (something which inevitably plagued him in the Douglas bout) epitomises how badly prepared he was for the fight. His team had no game plan for the fight either. Add that to the fact that Tyson had been given hell by sparring partners which were levels below him, it sort of paints a picture of why Tyson performed so poorly in the fight. If anybody doubts this, watch the legendary nights feature on the fight, it tells all.
Some people need to go rewatch the Wlad v haye fight again. Wlad found it very difficult to hit Haye at all, and hardly at all with anything meaningful. When he did land flush, didnt move Haye at all. Prime Tyson was more elusive than Haye, quicker, more powerful, threw in combination, and lights out power iin both hands. When Haye did land, Wlad was in a bit of trouble. If you were in trouble v Tyson, it was usually quickly finished. I respect Wlad, but I dont see this fight going very long at all. Tyson KO.
