It's been reported that WBA will review the fight.

Caballero also said that he wants an immediate rematch and if he can't get it, he will probably retire.

    Ya growing cataracts, buddy?

The shot you're referring to that caused him to stumble across the ring and drag his gloves on the floor was a blocked shot. It hit elbow/armpit. That was a shove/slip. Correctly called.

IB was so serious about that, he had to say it twice. Just to get the message through.

What a crock of ****!

This is so ****ed up, that so many people are touting this "Caballero got robbed' nonsense. It wasn't even like it was a case of a close fight that could have gone either way and it went to the hometown guy. It was a fight Barros won, period (or at least didn't lose). He won seven rounds. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 12. There is no case to be made for Caballero winning those rounds, just as Caballero clearly won 1, 2, 9, & 10. Throw in his two knockdowns and the best case you can make for Caballero is a draw (and that's if you give him that troublesome 11th 10-9). My feeling is that the eleventh really was even and impossible to split, although I try to avoid scoring even rounds at all costs. Give it even 10-10, and the fight belongs to Barros by a point. Give it to Barros 10-9, and Barros defends his belt by two points.

The range (depending on the 11th) is from 113-113 to 115-113 for Barros. 113-113 if you give Caballero the 11th. 114-113 if you score the 11th even. 115-113 if you give Barros the 11th.

Every other round had a clear winner. Barros won seven (3-8 and 12). Caballero won four (1-2, 9-10) and scored two knockdowns. (For the sake of argument we'll leave the two no-calls in the 4th and 6th a wash and therefore both 10-9 for Barros. I feel Barros has more of a case to be made for having been robbed of a KD ruling than Caballero, but oh well. Official judges have to honor the referee's ruling at the end of the day regardless of whether they agree, and I've always felt that we as armchair judges ought to suck it up and follow suit. So we'll go with the only two official knockdowns for scoring purposes, both belonging to Caballero.)

No matter how you score the 11th, it isn't a win for Caballero. It's a win for Barros, or draw.

    That's it.

And people on b-scene and a couple of other sites (and one or two posters here) are making a fuss about Caballero being robbed?? :rofl What the ****?

Lest anyone think I have some anti-Caballero bias here: dig up my pre-fight posts. I was pulling for Caballero to get a bounceback win after the Litzau embarrassment. I talked a lot of **** about how he hadn't taken Jason seriously and didn't train properly and how he's actually much better than that performance made him seem. I also had little to no regard for Barros or great fondness for his style, and considered him to be a relatively weak champion of not much better than average skill. I tabbed this as an easy win for a focused and dedicated Caballero. I therefore had a lot of incentive to want to see Caballero win. Yet I'm able to eat crow and acknowledge that for a good long stretch of the middle of their fight, Barros kicked his ass. No, he didn't box beautifully and apply any sweet science. It wasn't really a boxing match during that stretch. It was a brawl...and from rounds 3-8 (and then again in the 12th) Barros clearly outbrawled him. During the times it was a boxing match (the first, second, and tenth rounds) Caballero boxed his ears off. During the ninth it was slugfest won by Caballero and during the 11th it was just a messy brawl where neither really deserved to win it as both were completely ineffective.

You know what, I think the WBA should investigate this decision. Not only this decision, but Andre Ward and Allan Green as well. It seems to me that the rules have changed. If somebody is aggressive and is forcing the fight and the opponent is standing there taking it not throwing back. It is clear that the opponent laying back just taking the blow not throwing anything back is the clear winner. New rules = new winners.

Caballero won and Green won. Duh, winning!

Haye won because wald broke his toe so their going to make them have a rematch under the toe clause.

Hayes toe hurt so bad after the fight he could not get out of the ring they had to call a TOE TRUCK to help him out.
