I honestly think Floyd is the main one holding up the fight but know Bob isn't one to make anything easy for Floyd. They got beef...on the flip side I know Floyd enjoys sticking it to Bob as well but for BOTH Bob and Floyd they are incredibly GREEDY! Money TRUMPS all in most cases which is why I can't see how anyone can be blind enough NOT to see Floyd has created all the obstacles in making this fight happen. We can argue all day long about ALL the different by-products that have come from the mains source of the obstacles which stem from Floyd. But no one can object to who created the accusations that led to a defamation lawsuit...and no one can object that Floyd was the one who created the OSDT obstacle which led to the "Cut off" situation. Had those two obstacles never been created the PAC vs Floyd fight would already be history and we could be possibly awaiting the 3rd fight in the potential trilogy.
Possibly, but let's say there were no OSDT demands and this hypothetical situation played out: Manny asks Floyd for a weight penalty clause. Floyd refuses. Manny sticks to his guns. No fight materialises. Who would be to blame in that instance? Probably Floyd, but that would contradict your scenario I've quoted above whereby the demand maker is to blame.
PAC asked for the weight penalty clause after the accusations and OSDT demands. Had there been not mud slinging without merit and not Testing ultimatum there would have been no other hold ups like the weight penalty demand. Unfortnately if the hypothetical happened and PAC stuck to his guns there would be a place for the demand given Floyd missed his obligation to fight JMM at an agreed upon weight. However....if Floyd REALLY wanted the fight to expose how one demensional and how over hyped PAC was like he claimed....I don't think Floyd would have a problem with the weight penalty given he made 146 easy and the fight would be at 147. It's really all about what's more important for each fighter involved. Is it money, legacy or both. Floyd seems to care more about his legacy knowing the money is there for the taking.. Win, lose or draw. PAC seems to genuwinely want to beat Floyd not just for the legacy but also for the money and test...Knowing Floyd is really the only person in or around his weight division that offers a true test.
I'm just playing devil's advocate, I don't claim to know all the facts. However it's obvious that you will have only one stance on the matter regardless of the circumstances: Floyd Mayweather is to blame.
How can I not blame Floyd when all the obstacles and hurdles have come from his side. Let me ask you this.... Had the roles been reversed, what would Floyd have done? Let's say it was PAC who was the one who came out calling Floyd Hyped up and a very "easy payday" should the two ever meet. And lets say it was PAC who later on changed his tune saying Floyd is a cheat, that he used illegal performance enhancing drugs and that NONE of his career can be validated since Floyd was on the "Power Pellets". Lets' say that PAC made a stipulation that IF Floyd wanted to fight PAC that he had to adhere to OSDT that PAC wanted in order for the fight to take place. Floyd would have told PAC to go to hell and would have said PAC was scared, "Yellow" and all the negative press that Floyd has now from fans and the media would all be re-directed to Manny. And yes...I'd blame Manny for the whole debacle if the shoe was on the other foot. My question to you is.....who would you blame.... Would you blame PAC or Floyd in this hypothetical scenario?
Asking for random testing is not creating an obstacle. It only becomes an obstacle if you make it one by turning down the fight!
it becomes an obstacle when you go through media and accuse your oopponent before and while negotiating of cheating. also going on long vacation, losing your urge is an obstacle, ask greenburg.
When was Manny available??? Why did Manny turn down 14 days???? Where is Manny now???? Floyd is calling out Pacquiao and he is no where to be found!
