Mike Perez

Cant see many people going out of their way to fight him.

 

I can see the top prospects (Fury/Chisora/Price) all avoiding him. He brings a huge risk with very little reward. But he's with Matchroom so hopefully he'll kick on with them. Kingpin apparently wants to fight him and Harrison apparently. Audley wouldn't be a bad fight to help his profile which at this stage is a lot more lacking than his boxing development.

Lots of reports that he's partying it up in Cork far too much. Hopefully he cops on to himself, same goes for the rest of the Cubans there.

 

What has happened to Luis Garcia? He hasn't fought since november, and Alexei Collado needs to step it up and be more active. They need to move to the states. They are all talented as ****. Yet are apparently lazy.

 

Garcia is supposed to be the laziest of the all and Alexei is apparently the most dedicated.

I'd like them to stay in Ireland purely for selfish reasons but yeah, they are much better off basing themselves in the States. Garcia's last fight was a proper step up but he's inactive once again. It's a real shame. He'd probably school title holder Cleverly and hardly anyone knows who the hell he is.

They should all be out on Hyde's next show on September 3rd.

think Matchroom wanna do Perez vs Harrison as part of a PPV card for the Froch fight but Sky are reluctant to touch big Aud.

 

If its on an undercard shouldnt really matter, no?

Everyone moving up the domestic scene will avoid Perez. He can potentially KO all of them, yet his name means nothing on a record. Tyson Fury is the one well all want to see step in against him, but with Fury being offered world title shots and Perez not even challenging for domestic titles, it would seem foolish for Fury to take such a chance.

I think Perez should go for the Irish Heavyweight Title. I'm sure he'd be eligible and Tyson has said repeatedly that it's his goal to take it. If Perez holds the belt, Fury knows that backing out of the scrap would really expose him. If he did back out of it, Perez could use it as a platform to move up to Commonwealth level or maybe even European. This would leave Fury with the option to go against Perez or Klitschko, a rock and a hard-place decision if anything, and if he goes for Klitschko and loses, he is there for Perez to pick up.
