Mayweather Showing Interest in A Khan fight,

  1. GOLDEN BOY chief Richard Schaefer believes Amir Khan is destined to face Floyd Mayweather.

Khan, 24, puts his WBA light-welterweight title on the line against IBF boss Zab Judah in Las Vegas on July 23.
But he has made no secret of his desire to step up to welterweight and Schaefer has mapped out a path for the Bolton fighter which also includes bouts with Erik Morales and Kell Brook.
Schaefer said: "We believe in Khan and believe he is ready. These are big plans but Team Khan are on board.

BACK IN BUSINESS ... Mayweather will return to the ring in September

"I've had conversations with Mayweather and his adviser Al Haymon and they are definitely open to a fight with Khan."
Mayweather, who is scheduled to meet Victor Ortiz in September, has told Schaefer he wants to deliver the fight boxing fans crave by agreeing to face Manny Pacquiao.
Schaefer added: "Mayweather has indicated he would like to do the Pacquiao fight.
"He said to me he'd be open to fighting Pacquiao next if the blood testing issue can be sorted out.
"Khanwould then fight in autumn 2012 against Mayweather. I spent the last week with Mayweather and he said he wants to fight more than once per year.
"Whether he delivers on that promise, I don't know, but I really believe he does want to fight several times a year.
"He's mentioned to me the possibility of fighting in December again
"Mayweather has rediscovered his love for boxing and is ready to go. He's hungry again."

He better fight Pac before Khan, that's all I'm saying.

It's obvious the **** is waiting for Pac to slow down. He should have fought him in 18 months ago.

    He'll destroy Khan btw.

Sounds like a bit of promotion to me to get Khan's name in the press with his relatively low key fight coming up.

Link Khan's name with Mayweather = free newspaper column space.

Up until now I haven't heard anything about the Judah fight on the BBC, this afternoon Khan is all over the main sports headlines with his name linked to Mayweather.

Pacquiao is the only fight that matters.

  6. ye, but just remember, the wolf at the bottom of the hill is always hungrier the the wolf at the top of the hill, khan after 2-3 more fights will be something else.

    Floyd Mayweather.
And Amir Khan should never be mentioned in the same sentance.

Linking Khan to Mayweather is just to get some hype up for Khan v Judah as somebody else said.

Considering Khan v Judah is less than 3 weeks away there's hardly any hype for it, and what's better to hype it up than bring Floyd into the mix

Probably true...but I think Mayweather is far far more likely to fight Khan than Pacquiao.

Khan wouldnt win a round (unless Floyd takes a breather), he'd pick that erratic style to bits.

  12. i reckon khan would do alot better then Hatton, i definately dont see him getting knocked out, i think he could win a couple rounds een if he took the fight now, he will be as beasst in a couple more fights, mark my words
