Once again, when you donate blood they take a pint. When you have blood drawn for a blood test, they take a tablespoon. A pint of blood is 1/8th your entire blood supply. Any doctor will tell you that will effect your energy level. That's why they give you cookies and **** when you donate blood. Go get blood drawn for a blood test. You won't be getting any cookies. That's because they amount they take is pretty damn small compared to your total supply; nowhere near enough to effect you. It definitely won't stop you from training hard for 3 days. Pac had a a blood test before the Hatton fight and went back to the gym and trained hard that same day. So who is he fooling here?
"A unit (about one pint) of blood is drawn. This procedure takes about five to 10 minutes. The average person has between 10 and 12 pints of blood in their body. It takes about one month to replace the blood that is donated." http://www.giveblood.org/faqs "One unit of whole blood is roughly the equivalent of one pint. " http://www.americasblood.org/go.cfm?do=page.view&pid=12
I understand that bro but you fail to take the proper consideration that some folks operate differently. some people react differently when they experience certian things that you or I wouldn't. There are psychological and physiological effects that happen for certian people that science can't explain. Like no one should really fall ill to flying or being in confined spaces, yet some people have very severe reactions to such things. When you get blood work done doctors make it a point to ensure that you are not going to be operating any vehicles not b/c they think you will crash but they know SOME people have different reactions to giving of blood no matter how large or small in scale.
Pacquiao got his blood drawn before the Hatton fight and was back in the gym training the next day. I guess he just recently contracted this phobia again once Mayweather asked him to get tested.
Take the tests, and the accusations mean nothing. Yes, I would blame Mayweather for walking away in your scenario. Especially if he went and signed a fight 3 days later!!! Check the avatar dude, I am not some Manny hater. I'm a Manny fan. But fact is, Manny is the one putting suspicion on himself. I personally did not think the tests were going to be an issue, until they were. "Floyd wouldn't have even entertained the idea of fighting PAC under those conditions and circumstances." -- Conjecture much? Stick with facts please. Considering Mayweather has to take the exact same tests as Pacquiao, this comment is puzzling. Fact: Manny refused the tests. Fact: Manny walked away from negotiations. Fact: Manny signed a fight 3 days later. Fact: Manny and his team have come up with a multitude of excuses for not taking the tests. Fact: Other fighters have stated they have no problem taking the tests. But I will restate my position: If these roles were COMPLETELY reversed, I would blame Mayweather for ducking the tests and therefore the fight, and would certainly suspect that he might be on something. Believe what you want, but I am not a liar and enjoy watching both fighters. Taking the tests ends this entire issue to me.
If you are true to your stance then I'll take it at face value but Floyd wouldn't have entertained the idea of the fight after those kinds of comments and demands and the majority of the population wouldn't have taken Manny's side over floyd's in that reversed sitaution. I enjoy watching both fighters myself. I love Floyd as a boxer and know that Floyd is necessary for the sport just like PAC is. But that's were you and I end in agreement. I respect your honesty but can't justify your view on the topic. But to each their own. I'm just glad we will most likely get to see this fight after 3 yrs of waiting and anticipating what would happen if these two ever met. We will all get to see the outcome for ourselves in 2012 from the looks of things.
We're going to have to agree to disagree on that one. Mayweather is easy to dislike. 3 years... It's like Hagler SRL all over again. *sigh*
Back in 2005 PAC stated he didn't like the way he felt after giving blood. Its not a new phobia kid. And just b/c he was BACK in training doesn't mean he was operating at 100%. Again....some people have different reactions to these kinds of things and PAC has been consistant in how he felt about giving blood in any situation.
:good Hey......as a fan of boxing we gotta check our personal feeling about a boxer lifestyle outside the ring. There's NO ONE in boxing more intelligent and more techincally sound than Floyd. He's incredible to watch in the ring but you're right....out side of t it he's very easy to dislike. Which is why I'm glad he's back! By all means I do respect Floyd as one of the very best and how he goes about preparing for ANY opponent. He's a true professional in that regard. I will give Floyd props for taking on Ortiz..... I feel it's a tune up but I think it's a lot more dangerous PAC's fight with JMM, which is also a Tune up. And yea.... Hagler vs SRL all over again is right! Hopefully it's just as good. And the outcome might look the exact same way as well.
That's right, he claimed it was the reason he lost to Morales, even though during the post fight interview he said it was because he didn't have his clitoris gloves. "I guess he just recently contracted this phobia again" I want to carefully read the sentence that I wrote again and let's see if you're smart enough to tell me what I implied here, kid. No, he has not been consitent. First he lost because he didn't have his clitoris gloves, then it was because he didn't have his blood taken. He said he could only have his blood taken no more than 30 days before the fight, then changed his tune once he was reminded that just a few months earlier, he got his blood taken 24 days before the Hatton fight. He told Brian Kenney that he was willing to get his blood taken, just not the day of the fight. Once Kenney reminded him that Mayweather offered him a 14 day cutoff, then all of a sudden, 15 days was too close to the fight and he wouldn't be able to train properly. How is this consistent?
PAC made excuses for his performance like most fighters do. It's nothing that I agree with unless it's legit. But the as fighters they are prideful dudes and it's hard to accept defeat. But it's more telling about how the 2nd fight played out when there were NO issues with gloves, blood or socks. Just like when Floyd struggled and some felt he lost to JLC......there were excuses to the performance Floyd put on only to resolve those issues in the rematch where he dominated. Like PAC dominated Erik in the rematch. And PAC was placed into a very UNFAIR situation with Floyd accusations. PAC had to field very hard questions from AMERICAN press and answer in his 2nd language. A lot can be lost in translations whether it's how PAC responds or how he understands the question. Having to answer questions of this nature in a foreign country is not as easy as you might think. Oh...and I hope you ddin't take offense to my calling you "Kid"....it seems to have rubbed you the wrong way. i usually say "Kid' to anyone. I'm from the east coast, grew up in baltimore so i got a little bmore flavor to my lingo.
Mayweather beat Castillo and then beat him again in an immediate rematch. There were no excuses neccesary as he won. Pacquiao lost to Morales and then waited till Morales had gotten his ass kicked by Rahemm and had outgrown 130 before draining him back down to 130 and fighting him again. A lot of basic things don't seem to come easy to Pac. He can't get his story straight. He can't remember if he needs a 30 or 24 day cutoff. He can't train for 3 days if he gets blood drawn, unless he's training to fight Hatton. He can't remember if he's already signed to a promotional company before signing with another one. I'll tell what he can do though, he can file lawsuits. I guess would only be fair though that he only give statements through an interpretor seeing as how he's incapable of giving a straight answer in English.
That would be a supersize portion of karma coming back round to bite everyone involved in the ass :good
I really think you just hate pacquiao. No matter what he does. your probably the one person he cant make happy.... You have barrera on your avi....so....
PAC didn't wait for EM to all the sudden get old. EM decided to take a tune up with Raheem which was a stylistic nightmare for EM. ANY VERSION of Erik although I believe he took him lightly. You can make all the excuses you want for why PAC beat EM but at the end of the day he systematically destroyed him in a more dominant fashion than Floyd did with JLC in the rematch. There's a lot of things that don't come easy for a lot of people...including Floyd and PAC. PAC's got his story straight. Floyd's the one struggling with keeping his excuses in line for not facing PAC. But all that got old and fell on deaf ears which prompted Floyd to finally address the subject and confirm that he's now willing to fight PAC. PAC can definitely file a lawsuit and address Floyd's own irresponsible incompetence. Every man is responsible for their own actions and words and one way or the other Floyd is going to pay. It may be in the ring...it might be in the court room...it could be both! But let's focus on the positive. We'll see this fight in 2012 and we'll get the answers that we've been waiting for.
