ppv has been in the uk for as long as i can remember

so you've just basicaly above proved my point. wimbledon is the home of tennis (biggest 'purse'), its only the purse that matters according to your logic.

Calzaghe mostly whooped a bunch of bums and dinosaurs. His best wins were against a Euro in Kessler, and a hype job in Lacey. Apparently beating a 40 year old shot to **** Roy Jones is a big acomplishment for you Euros

And the Hopkins fight could of gone either way, and many people have Hopkins winning that fight. Hopkins was also in his mid 40s, so that fight really didnt prove ****. :deal And besides, everyone with boxing knowledge will tell you that Hopkins is the far fighter greater than Calslappy. Same goes with Wlad and Lennox. :hi:

Sturm, pirog, khan, burns, darchinyan are all top guys in their divisions (all easy top 5)

and yet i bet you cant find a picture of him flying the US flag.

lewis is british...he fought for canada for a few reasons, as soon as he went pro he went back to his roots. just like donaire has, ask lewis his nationality and he will say hes english, i can go get quotes if you want.

heres one: I have always been English, ever since I emigrated from England and since the kids in Canada beat me up at the age of twelve for having an [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_London"]East London[/ame] Cockney accent. I thank them for the cockney taunts because the beatings turned me on to boxing. But on a serious note [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada"]Canada[/ame] has been kind to me.

so what if he is mid 40's hes still whooping arse today! age is just a number, hopkins style means he can fight longer than a slickster of a high-work rate fighter,

who hyped lacy? it wasnt euros calling him the 'next tyson'

Flying a US flag has nothing to do with it. There are plenty of Mexican-American boxers who fly Mexican flags. Doesnt mean they arent American.

He fought the US in the olympics and is a US citizen. While Lennox moved back to the UK, Nonito lives here with his American wife.

    Again you just sound jealous?

Mayweather is an exception to the rule, you cant keep bringing up floyd all the time and comparing him to kessler LOL, kessler got beat up by calzaghe long ago and kessler may well have lost to plenty of euro supermiddleweights, benn, eubank, watson, collins and im sure plenty more. Maybe thats unkind to kessler who at the end of the day is a very solid fighter but dont try to build him up into something everyone knows hes not.

jealous that you have a filipno fighter who clings to his filipino heritage but became a citizen to make his life easier? not really

my friend moved to australia 3 years ago, he became a citizen because it made life easier with visas and ****, if the uk went to war with australia, do you really think he would take the aussie side? would he ****

Doesnt stop the fact that Lacey was a hype job and one of Calslappys best wins :deal

it was your nation why hyoed him, maybe if he hadnt got in the ring with a legend that night his career would have taken a different path rather than getting a beating so bad his ancestors felt it

Lol @ this thread. Just added Mexico, Canada, and acouple islands and already outnumbered all of Europe. USA will always be the mecca of boxing, even tho Germany and England are catching on. Europe has boxing, soccer, and rugby rule supreme, but USA has too many sports to focus on just 2 or 3. Rj, Toney, and Hopkins were p4p the best, plus McCallum was Jamaican he beat Collins who beat just about all English fighters who were never on Rjs level to begin with. Calzaghe only beat Rj once he was all tattered up by Tarver and Johnson it proved absolutely zilch. H2h prime for prime Rj vs Joe would of resembled Robinson vs LaMotta.

:huh you failed to mention 2 different versions of rugby, cricket, football ('soccer') and F1 (watched by more than any of the others), so thats 5 major sports....more than the usa has in the way....unless you have something else outside nfl, nba, baseball and ice hockey?

you add canada....a nation loyal to the crown, their money has the queens face on it, they were one of the first nations to help out during ww2 while the usa sat on thier arses.
