I'd like to see him fight guys like Arreola , Adamek , Boytsov (if only!)...Helenius , Solis , Chagaev , Pulev...I think there's still many interesting fights for him in the HW division.
He should have taken some of these fights before taking on one of the Klitchko's. But even if he doesn't retire by October, he will probably only have 1-2 fights left. It will be a greater loss when Vitali retires.
IMO Haye is number 3. He's gotten a lot of stick about his performance (and rightly so in some respect) but I must be the only person who thought he done ok on Saturday. He made Wlad miss a hell of a lot of punches and he really only got caught with one good clean punch all night. I scored it 8-3-1 for Wlad. I was very impressed with the defence of both fighters, especially considering it was billed as offense Vs offense prior to the fight. Part of the problem the HW's have when facing Wlad/Vitali is that they're not seasoned at all. They're not fighting the other top contenders to build experience and confidence at the highest level. If you look at some of the recent contenders (Johnson, Haye, Solis, Arreola, Sosnowski) and assess their biggest wins prior to facing one of the brothers, you'll see that they're not earning the NO.1 contender shot. Povetkin and Chambers are probably the exceptions here.
I'd like him to carry on fighting, too. Other than the Klitschkos, he's probably the best heavyweight out there. Could do with less of his bull****, though. I prefer the humble Haye.
Honestly, this is how ATG and legacies are made, by fighting all the top contenders even after a loss and re-challenging for the belt again... not by taking one shot at the top guy when you're still green and then quitting like a baby.
I doubt if Haye had beaten Wlad he would have quit boxing - there would have been too much money for Haye to make esp against Vitali. Looks like Haye might get a chance to fight Vitali but for a much smaller slice of the takings. Haye isn't that old in comparison to many other of the top 20 heavy weights (Helenius and Chisora are 27). I imagine Vitali will get old and someone will eventually beat him (or he retires). Haye has already jumped the queue once - will be interesting to see who gives him a chance/fight now.
