British & Irish Divisional Rankings July Update

Nothing glaringly bad about the lists.

I'd make a few minor changes personally, if it was based on my own criteria, and as always we all have our own. I'd have Bellew above McIntosh regardless of whether he's won the Euro title against a guy that was awful. I'd have David Price above McDermott and definitely Rogan.

 

But you don't base a fighters ranking on potential, or what they could/would do. You don't see Rigo ranked #1 at 122, despite the fact he's the best fighter there in all likelihood, nor do we see Roman Gonzalez at the pinnacle of the light-fly division. That argument doesn't hold up.

 

Thats a fair enough argument and at least you put logical points across to back up your opinion unlike the totally boring **** crew that only ever talk about nationality.

Granted they have mixed with better but I have seen plenty of both and enough of Spike to favour Spike. Out of interest, where would you have him?

 

Spike doesn't even look to have that kind of ability that would suggest we should be ranking him highly based on the fact he's an outstanding talent. I don't mind doing that in the right cases (i.e. I'd have David Price above slightly more accomplished fighters) but there isn't much case for Spike based on the limited footage I've seen.

 

thats fair enough. I just fancy him to have the strength to bully and bash up the guys in what is a weak division.

and to add to my reply to Grant - I have also told Rob that he should drop other Irish fighters that were too high.

 

That said it is a terrible division, you are correct about that. It's difficult to see where the good fights are coming from.

 

Maybe at four, because James moore never fights, but I still think that Moore is a better fighter with a higher level of competition. I also think Sinclair is a better fighter and his level of competition speaks for itself, but he never fights also. Kind of difficult to know where to rank Spike:think

 

Webbe-Aaron a was very good fight in all fairness, but in general your right.

 

Oh I'd have Denton Vassell above Jennings as well. Jennings hasn't really done anything of note for quite a while and Vassell's win over Purdy looks better than it did. That African he beat was also decent.

 

Ushona that Vassell fought would do very well domestically. He had some moves...

McIntosh above Bellew is sensible. I just happen to think he'd get smashed if they ever met and badly knocked out which is the reason I'd do it differently. Plus he got very lucky to be facing that French guy and he was losing against him as well. Bellew would have beaten a guy as slow and straight forward as him in 5 rounds.

 

How many fights does a fighter need for him to be put into a certain weight class on your rankings?
