Standing right in front of you opponent, squared up, straight up and down, with your hands up and your head leaned back is your example of "defensive wizardry?"
The Chambers of the Dimitrenko fight impressed the hell out of me. The one for the Potomkn(sp) definatly did not...a stupid fight. Basic boxing skills vs fast power. And a straight punch is faster than a wide hook or a wider haymaker. Now that we know Haye has some chin as does Chambers it would be a good fight. That Chambers got KO'ed in 12 well Haye was seeing stars too.
i do think chambers is decent,as are povetkin, arreola, chageav, dimntrenko, adamek. but i do think haye can beat them all in decent fashion. there is no reason for haye to retire so soon, even if he just beats those listed above,if he does so in good style and in America, then he can truely bring excitment to the division, without the need of beating either klitschkos, although ide want him to fight vitali, see what happens,he might just outbox and stop vitali, you never know. haye can steal k bros thunder without facing them and without belts,if he improved and defeats top 10s in style,3 fights a year for a couple of years.
These articles are just stupid. The heavyweight division is pointless. I don't see anyone in it, other than the K brothers who beats Adamek or Haye
lets see adamek and haye build up there fight by both beating all the other top heavies. england v poland,a bit of a saucy one!.
Clearly, you are a Brit, but I'll break it down for you anyway... Adamek vs. Haye - Adamek has better fundamentals, chin and isn't a coward. Haye's only chance is for a KO, and if Arreola can't KO Adamek, Haye has no chance either. UD for Adamek. Arreola vs. Adamek - Arreola is going to stand and bang with Haye. Again, Haye's only chance is to land a big counter and KO Arreola, which if Vitali couldn't do it, Haye has no chance. Lots of action in this one as Arreola will force exchanges on Haye's suspect chin. Arreola wins by KO. Chambers vs. Haye - Two chinny guys. One with average power and great boxing skills, one with great power and **** boxing skills. This one is Haye's best chance for a lucky KO, but I think Eddie has good enough ring IQ to keep Haye on the outside and take a decision. Chambers by UD. Helenius vs. Haye - No chance for Haye here either unless its a KO. 75% chance Helenius KO's Haye first..IMO. Helenius by KO. Some fights haye has a chance at winning: Tony Thompson, I'd still favor Thompson. Povetkin, who is a better fighter, but inactivity at championship level might give Haye a chance.
Chambers didn't like being called a bum. I don't blame him. I'd bet the house Chambers would give Princess a beating :bbb :yep
unlike the other bums haye has fought at HW, chambers is a damn good boxer, has a solid chin, and is very quick. i think he takes a relatively easy UD. haye's wild style makes chambers a very bad matchup for him. just another lucky punch to win scenario for haye.
You got to be shitting me, Haye shits on everyone without Klitschko in their surname. Some ****ing people :nut
You are clearly a Haye hater.. Adamek v Haye - This fight has the potential to be one of the best fights in the division! Both fighters very good cruiserweights, both have very good power(Haye slightly harder(, both have great chins(haye proved this against Wlad). TOSS UP. Arreola v Haye - Arreola may be able to hit but is very sluggish, this pays straight into Hayes strenghts. Haye could counter him all night and potentially KO him late on, depending on what strategy he goes for. HAYE KO Chambers v Haye - Although eddie is fast like Haye, he doesnt have the power. With chambers defence consisiting of High guard/ No head movement i think Haye would KO him mid rounds. HAYE KO Helenius v Haye - From what ive seen of Helenius he is very very overrated. Yes he KOD Peter with a massive punch but come on peter is well past it! He seems faily stationary at times and with his lack of head movement i fancy Haye would again counter him with fast accurate punches, potential KO. HAYE KO. David Haye is by no means some gift of god to the heavyweight division, hes a blown up cruiser. But compared to the rest of the Division arguably id say hes no3 behind the K Bros. Povetkin has been offered and refused a fight against a Klit so therefore until he mans up and takes that chance he should not be put in a scenario.
I might have agreed with some of this prior to Wlad/Haye but after Saturday's bout this kind of underestimation of Haye seems ridiculous. Haye outboxes and stops Helenius and/or Arreola--they are way too slow and cumbersome. Chambers and Adamek are more interesting, even though Haye has the physical advantages against them. They've got too much cheen for Haye to bludgeon them with single shots, and they will both outwork Haye over the distance if he doesn't stop them. Though I think Haye might be able to adapt his style to get a UD over Chambers, he'd have to find a way to TKO Adamek, probably by beating up his face and cutting him up. Tough even fights both.
