Thinking back, as soon as the fight was announced there were a lot of people on here saying that there was every chance it could be a real stinker. Haye unable to get past the jab and Wlad content to pile up the points.

  4. The comments made by Haye in the build up meant that there was so much anticipation, excitement and passion amongst the Brits over in Hamburg for the week before the fight.

That is why people were on such a downer after the fight and most would accept Haye losing the fight but would at least expect him to have a go, throw some leather and go down fighting.

The Wlad ring entrance was fantastic and it was good to see a real heavyweight world champion live.

Thats fair enough but talk is talk and Wlads opponents always talk a good fight about getting inside the jab. Fighters rarely go out on their shield in those situations, the energy just gets taken out of them and the fight slips away.

For all the talk, Haye was no different. I guess Haye sold the fight a little too well to some people.....;o)

I think the bar you`re talking about was Murphys,it was pretty good,my fave was the Shamrock 10 mins from the reeperbahn, they had a David Haye quiz on thursday and the owner and bar staff were great.

You believed the hype to much, maybe you should start a new account under a different name in protest.I was disappointed but i am also a realist and knew that this kind of outcome was more then possible.

Bar the fight I can't fault it mate. Good company (palled up with 2 boxing fans for the 4 days), the music festival was good fun and plenty of good food and lager.

Tuesday in work was a looooooong day though....:tired

I've read your "report", it sounds like your weekend was pretty similar to mine!:good

I'm still waiting for BoxingBuzz to tell me where he rates Haye as an ATG HW in that thread.

David Haye was a tremendous cruiserweight very exciting but he's not been able to excite at heavyweight in the ring which has surprised me

  12. This group were so loud and had a vote at the end of the round to stay or head to the Reeperbahn - only 3 of this large group wanted to stay but also went with thier mates.
