exactly, it was Jnr's decision to be a boxer and his auld told him that if he was going to do it then he (Snr) would be guiding him, like it or leave it.
I hope they don't give the lad too much too soon, remember his auld man was hungry to get respect and money. He should listen to his dad when he spoke to David Price on Buncys auld show on Setanta.
He will. It's inevitable. You can't be called Eubank and not get a lot of focus. The spotlight is going to be on this kid every fight. Really hope he's big enough and good enough to handle it.
In the amateurs he lost to a 24-year-old when he was 18 in the US National Golden Gloves, by 1pt. He sparred with Zab Judah at that time as well and apparently matched him. That was years ago. He must've improved dramatically since!?! I think Sr said a few years ago that Jr had more natural talent than he had because he picked things up quicker and didn't need to practice certain things over and over to get it right. Mike McCallum described Jr as 'extremely skilful'.. Who knows. Looking at amateur footage it's the counter left hook that stands out, he does it really well. He also looks really fluid, really flowing.
said that on an earlier post, and I'm going by the video posted, the left hook looks like his money shot!
mixed feeling about this celebrity intro. id feel more confident if he was just quiely going about his business on some undercards. what was his amateur record?
I hoe he doesnt get too much pressure put on him so early in his pro career, but he looks like he will be a decent pro.
