Is this confirmed?! I'd dearly love this to be Sonnen's comeback fight, if Machida-Sonnen isn't going to happen.
Stann by TKO! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
I cant believe you said that. Some Benedict Arnold **** right there. You need to check yourself Staff Sergeant. atsch **** Sonnen, I hope Stann takes some teeth out, breaks an orbital and does everything short of inflicting career ending injuries to that douche bag Sonnen.
Sonnen's take down ability is legitimate, and I don't see Stann submitting him from his back. Stann better hope Sonnen stays off the juice, because a Sonnen with adequate testosterone could be too much.
Do you think Sonnen will be getting extra testing before the fight to ensure he's not up to his old tricks again?
I agree with everything in this except i want him to suffer career ending injuries that dont affect his quality of life so the cheating **** can never fight again.
I was just making a bit of joke. I really have no idea how that process works. I'm sure he'll be under more scrutiny at this point. I haven't watched a lot of Stann's bouts, and his recent fights don't really give me an idea of how he matches up with Sonnen. I think that I read somewhere that Stann struggles against good wrestlers. If that is truly the case, this does not seem like a good match-up for him. Hopefully I'll do some research before picking this fight, and find some footage of Stann. I'm leaning towards Sonnen at the moment, but I'm not cementing that as my pick yet.
I'm backing Stann. I've done some research recently on the results of fights where one guy is returning after a long lay-off, and that guy loses much, much more often than he wins. Even when he wins, he looks **** doing it. I don't think a sub-par performance from any current mw other than Anderson would be good enough to beat a force of nature like Stann. A fully-fit, sharp, active Sonnen with some momentum behind him would beat Stann due to his superior grappling making a bad stylistic match for Stann, but I am a big believer in the detrimental effect of the long lay-off. Stann by ref/corner stoppage.
