    Obvious troll thread

  3. only difference is Khan got smashed by a known puncher and still tried to get up, Hatton got decked by a blown up feather-weight and went top sleep.

Hatton would obliterate Khan in a beautiful way.

Hatton got inside and worked against Floyd. Floyd is a defensive fighter and Hatton was still able to force his way to the inside and do his work. Khan would not be able to keep Hatton off of him.

Malignaggi got inside and worked against Khan. Showed how open Khan's defense is, as well as his body. And you don't exactly have to have a glass body to understand that you don't want Hatton hitting you in the body.

Khan was hittable against Maidana (and Prescott, and Gomez, and Malignaggi, and everyone he's fought). Hatton's head movement is going to cause problems, as will his footwork, bodypunching, speed, and toughness.

To me, this means that Hatton mugs Khan all night (like he did to Floyd) and victimizes him to the body before finishing him upstairs. Khan's chin is still a bit iffy, and you don't need that against Hatton. Khan has zero infighting ability and Hatton's game is infighting.

Take Maidana and give him great footwork and speed. You think Khan sees the final bell? All signs point to Hatton KO Khan.

Khan outboxes Hatton ... UD ...
I think that their chins don't come into play and it's more about boxing ability, something that Hatton didn't have. Khan would keep the jab in Hatton's face, use his superior speed and win a decision. No matter what Hatton showed up.

Following the first round, even Mayweather had trouble keeping the fight at distance against Hatton. Mayweather then did a lot of good work on Hatton up close with his own tricks, and landed a lot of good right hands to the body when his left arm was tangled up with Ricky's right arm. Khan doesn't have these inside skills and other tools to fall back on like Floyd does.

How is Khan going to keep it at long range? He doesn't have the generalship or skills to do so. His footwork is poor and he goes back in straight lines, against a guy with very fast feet. Hatton will mug him and close the distance and rough him up on the inside.

Ricky Hatton was outboxed twice, by the two greatest fighters of the generation. And one of those was a damn good fight.

Hatton outboxed pretty much everybody else he fought, and he outboxed them GOOD. The guy's speed and footwork were insane and he was vicious.

Khan is NOT a special boxer. He's a special athlete. To beat Hatton you need to be a special boxer AND a special athlete.

Hatton victimizes Khan. Absolutely victimizes him. I've seen nothing from Khan to suggest otherwise. That fight would have been huge and I was REALLY hoping it would happen.

Personally I think by the time Khan matured to be able to make a genuine light-welterweight figure, nevermind a threat, Hatton had run his course. Khan-Kotelnik was what? Something like the 18th of this month, July 2009.

    When did Pacquiao KO hatton?

    The second of May 2009.

I'm one of those people who think that Hatton getting ktfo by Pac had less to do with Hatton being done and more IT'S MANNY ****ING PACQUIAO
Wish he'd have had a comeback fight to at least gauge where he was at and what he had left.
