Who else feels '11 Adamek would be tuff as nails for '53 Marciano? I sure as hell do.

    I'm actually more curious to see what happens with Adamek after his date with V.K. in Sept.... Adamek himself is at or near age 34, yet seems peaked right now... Question is, if he loses his title shot to V.K., what will Adamek do??? Will he remain a focused fighter and maintain contender status, or will he drift off into the sunset as a millionaire and go into full hibernation???

    As I follow Adamek's career, I believe that it will be the best version of Adamek at 10th September. The Ultimate Adamek I would say, as he has been constantly developing at HW. So I believe that Ultimate Adamek can win against Ageing Vitali :smoke

    But to answer your question: if Adamek loses then he will probably box 2-3 years more (depending mainly on his health). He will probably box in the Prudential Center 1-2 times a year against top 10 opposition and 2 times a year against cherrypicked fighters until he gets a title shot again. I hope that it wont happen though an he outboxes the bigger bro :good

    I think he'll keep fighting as a contender. Boxing is his passion and job, I can't see him giving it up after just 1 lost title fight. He will keep fighting until klits retire and then he'll spring into action. Hopefully this peak fighting of his career stays for a few more years.

    I will say I did NOT buy into all the Solis hype last March...... I saw a gifted slob who had other agenda's rather than boxing.... Solis proved me right, too...

    As for your original thread question- a bloody 15 rounder as both have iron chins. Marciano outpoints the Polish Warrior via UD as he knocks him down 3 times- in the 3rd, 5th, and 11th. Adamek tags the Brockton Bomber hard in the 14th, but Rock regains composure to win via UD.:bbb

    Really? I'm not knocking Rocky, but had he had some viable competition instead of old men to fight, I doubt he would have been 49-0.
