:good Agreed times 1000. Haye would turn any further match ups into an endless saga of BS. Wlad is likely to just go onto the next in line in good time.

IMO Haye should fight a top HW or retire, or fight Vitali if he gets past Adamek.

david haye was trying to be way too clever for his own good. he honestly believed all the crap about mental games and how not agreeing to any contract points that were mutually beneficial, would somehow make wlad go crazy, lose sleep, turn into a nervous wreck etc. he actually believed his own bull****! lol

let's look at a few facts that makes haye look like a dimwit.

rematch clause: haye would have the power to rematch wlad if he lost (because he was the WBA champ afterall). BUT! on the flipside, if haye won, which he obviously believed he would, then he could simply retire like he said he would and therefore never have to give wlad the rematch.

options: the "terrible" "slave contract" options were simply to face vitali next if he was to win.... um, didn't haye want to face vitali anyway to seal his legacy??? and AGAIN, if he was going to retire after the wlad fight, then the options mean absolutely NOTHING!

haye is full of ****. if he really intended to retire on october 13th, then he could have gone along and humoured the klitschkos in the contract phase because he knew he would never have to follow through with rematches or options because he was going to be a man of his word! reminds me a bit of b-hop in this respect. said he promised his dying mother he would retired at 40. what a load of **** that turned out to be.

i reckon haye had no real desire to retire. i think that is why the princess got upset with those two contract points. golden boy probably got into his ear and said after you beat wladimir you will be the next mega star for america and make way more money in the future. haye's plan backfired and now he is at the mercy of the kbros purely because he tried too hard to beat them at the table. wladimir basically beat haye with 1 hand, and owned him on the business side of things too... i bet that hurts more than his pinky toe now :yep

I don't think there's much point to a rematch, because I can't see either guy doing any different.

While Wlad once again not pushing for a KO - especially after his talk - did bore me, I have to say that he wasn't the one losing on the cards, so really, while it may have been nice to do it, IMO winning is the most important thing in a title fight.
Just win the fight is the #1 goal IMO in a title fight. He did, job done, anything else would have been gravy.

Haye wouldn't fight any different in a rematch. He'd still try to lure Wlad into making a mistake, waiting for an opening.

Wlad faught cautiously and didn't give one. I don't think he would in the rematch.

So really, what would be the point?

Wlad should first fight other guys. Arreola or Fury/Chisora winner would be good.

Haye should climb the ranking again and might get his rematch next year. But now that fight isn't a priority, like it was a week ago.

I hope that Wlad doesn't stay fighting until he's 40 or 42. He should anticipate well enough and know when to hang up the gloves. Right now is obviously not the moment, but Wlad should do it when he starts seeing a decline in his skills.

Furry, or Cheeseora bring nothing to the table. Both seriously inexperienced and low on skills. If Wlad fought them both on the same night, it still wouldn't be interesting. Goes to show you that the division is more Void than Farmboxer. There's just no one there left for Wlad.

Haye has his mandatory 9+ month rest period now that he's finally fought. He'll see Wlad and Vitali dominate in their next fights and decide he doesn't want any part of it and dissappear.

A journalist asked the question to Haye, then Wlad asked Haye would he like it. In some of the news reports it looks like it was Wlad's suggestion. Even some papers over here picked up on it. Before Boente said NO REMATCH!!!

Anyway, Chef, please, no rematch. I don't want to see a fight with Vitali either.

I've said this in a few threads, but from a p.r perspective I cant see it working. The British papers were making fun of him. Wlad has made a lot of fans over here too.

Haye says he will trash talk again, even more than before. I mean, for 5 minutes I felt a little sorry for the guy. He looked broken, but nope, he hasn't been humbled (I was hoping he would be, but the reality rehab hasnt worked). That big ego and big mouth is still there.
