Looks like the trash talk has begun as Tarver and his team prepares to fly out of the States.:bbb http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/a/-/other/9798342/tarver-camp-write-off-primitive-green/
what sort of cash is Tarver getting? A million? Tough fight for Green, and I think Tarver will win on points but i can never count Danny out. At 42 i am not sure what Tarver has left, but CW is a good weight for him and I think he will get some early rounds in the bag and really make Danny come after him. I am going to say Tarver 7 rounds to 5 and wouldnt be surprised if both guys taste the canvas
Tarver is getting 1.2 mil. I also think it's going to be a harder fight than the odds suggest,I'm thinking that Danny can stop him in rd 6 or 7 at least that's what my cash will be on.:yep Let's just hope its a good stoush and the undercard is pretty good as well so should be a top night.
What fighter worth a damn has Green stopped apart from a shot RJ? Even then he was just slapping away at Jones while he was standing up and not even really taking any damage. Green is so overrated as a puncher, there is zero chance that he is going to stop Tarver. I'd say Glen Johnson is a harder puncher than Green.
pretty sure he was voted number one hardest puncher when he was at smw by the ring? i may be wrong though, but as hes gone up his punching power has become less significant , although that piston like left hand jab is still pretty hard. I can see tarver troubling him as he comes in with that ****er right uppercut a lot
Well he stopped Eric Lucas. I think that since neither fighter has been stopped most people would expect it to go the distance however i think Tarver might start to gas after rd 5 and could be in trouble after that. Plus the fact that Tarver said he's going to stand and trade more than he has in the past could leave him open more than he usually is.
It will be interesting to the what tactics Green uses.....will he rush in and go for the kill like he did with RJJ or will he box and try to counter like he did v BJF
I think this fight is a real 50/50. The early rounds will be interesting, Tarver says he will stand and trade but im very doubtful he will. He may trade if he thinks he is getting the better of the fight but early on im sure he will be on his bike.
I will make my call when I see what shape tarver is in, If he has trained hard for 6 six weeks before arriving here, he has a massive chance.
Tarver seems like he is just coming for a payday, Green is deserved favourite and should win comfortably, with a stoppage victory quite possible. I hope Tarver turns up in shape and raring to go, though I'm certainly not getting my hopes up for this.
agreed, on plane as we speak the press just said, gets into Sydney tomorrow so will find out very soon! dawsoj two years running he was voted hardest puncher at SMW! cant recall years off hand.
