yeah my bad! will fix it up tomorrow!! interesting interview none the less???? surprised she views boxing as elitest? But agree rugby has gone from a niche rich boy sport to one consumed by everyone bar slap!!!
he should really change it to Proper Ireland's First Female Promoter but then again he'll blame the subs!:deal
Yeah very diffrent point of view that we are used to,i suppose we are always complaining about the lack of general knowledge of shows and contests from those outside of boxing circles,Elitest i dont know a niche market maybe. Still a 2 day affair with music and events might just be the thing ill def go for a look, might even be one to bring the missus to, 5 fight Kelly and Donnellan confirmed (happy for that lad, seems a good bloke) Paschal said Spike is on it ,one can only assume Chritina Mc Mahon is the female fight so that leaves one more by my reckoning.
Good to see Macklin get a bit of the back page of this mornings Star. Gerry Callan's exclusive was about Team Macklin heading over to the US for talks with the 3 major PPV television stations over there. Also he claims talks with the Martinez camp for a fight on Paddy's Day next year is also going to happen. He claims that Macklin will go for this over a rematch with Sturm.
I dont think she means elitest in a D4 sense of the word, word in a "you are not welcome if you dont know exactly what is going on" type of way. I agree that rugby has exploded. But its the rich boys that control the media that are largely responsible for that.
I heard Phil Sutcliffe is runnimg one in dublin in september,I thought it was Paddy Hyland again or is it an alliance i wonder?
Sad news with the death of George Kimball. He's been one of the best writers in the Irish media on boxing for years now. http://thesweetscience.com/news/articles-frontpage/12903-george-kimball-1943-2011
