Wlad Has Now Gone Longer Than Lennox Lewis Ever Did Between Losses

    Currently, Wladimir Klitschko has gone a longer period of time between losses than Lennox Lewis ever did during his professional heavyweight career.

    Here's the comparison:

    6-27-1989 ----------> Lewis' 1st professional fight
    9-24-1994 ----------> McCall knocks out Lewis [5 years, 3 months since LL starts career]
    4-22-2001 ----------> Rahman knocks out Lewis [6 years, 7 months since the McCall loss; 14 fights between McCall loss and Rahman loss]
    6-21-2003 ----------> Lewis' final professional fight [2 years, 2 months since McCall loss]

    4-10-2004 ----------> Brewster knocks out Wlad Klitschko
    7-02-2011 ----------> Wlad Klitschko defeats David Haye [7 years, 3 months since the Brewster loss; 14 fights since the Brewster loss]

    So, Wladimir Klitschko has already had a longer period of time in his career without suffering a loss (7 yr, 3 mo) than Lennox Lewis (6 yr, 7 mo) ever did.

    Both men had the same amount of fights (14) during their longest stretch without a loss (9 of Lewis' fights during that stretch were major title fights; 10 of Klitschkos fights during that stretch were major title fights).

    Wlad will surpass Lewis' number of fights (14) during the longest non-losing stretch of Lewis' career if Klitschko wins his next fight.

    Yeah, that doesn't really mean much.

    Lewis' undefeated reign was in a tougher era against tougher opposition.
