This thread is based on a fact. The Bute nuthuggers thread was for shits and giggles. SOme of the Bute-fans showed they had humour. Not you though.
I get the feeling that those who defend the ref haven't really watched the fight. That's the 10 count you do in bed with your gf to impress her, not in the ring when you're actually supposed to count 10 SECONDS.
I am from Canada (not born n raised, but lived here long enough to consider Bute my own) and even I was surprised when such obvious cheating took place. However, I am happy it happened. Bute is a much better fighter and that one loss would have damaged his image and would have made him doubt himself. Now he has a tremendous psychological boost from knowing he survived such a perilous situation. I just hope it doesn't get him psychologically dependent on the ref, as some people get that dependency on their hometown (Ward), his own judges (Chavez), their own ref+crowd (Hatton), steroid laced burgers and ped fries (Toney) etc
It is not corruption nor job preservation. People ca say what they want, they don't know Marlon B. Wright. The guy is an honest referee. I repeat that it is a strange idea to make him the referee, this post proves my point. Bat, you forgot to say that the judges will be : French, Bosniac and American. Not a single canadian judge. Apart from the Andrade 1 fight, the referee had nothing to do in all others Bute's fights. Well, the judges neither, because Bute has lots of KO and when the fight goes to the cards, it never has been close.
Listen, I was live and I watched the entire fight on HD 15 times. I saw the end of the fight at least a hundred times. Ref's seconds are close to real time but normally a bit slower. If you take you watch and count (don't count the slow motion :rofl), you'll see that Bute stands up at 8. Upon the rules, as soon as his 2 gloves quit the mat, the fight is over because it is the 12th round. I've watched the fight, have you read the rules? P.S. IBF rules, Unified ruler, Régie des alcools, des courses et des Jeux du Québec rules. You have to read them 3. Take your time, I can wait. You can read one of the multiple threads on that subject. Noone has been able to justify the opinion that Bute should have lost when he went down. You won't be able neither, because facts are not on your side.
