The closest scorecard he had in his favor was him losing 9 rounds to 3. For a guy with a broken toe that because of that supposedly couldn't move forward it certainly didn't stop him from moving backward and sideways throughout the entirety of the fight. Watch the fight, does anyone see any sign of Haye having an injury to his toe as he moves around the ring throughout the 12 rounds other than he wasn't going inside, which I chalk up more to how he fought instead of a bum pinky toe. Let's watch his Valuev fight again, we can compare his fighting style in that fight to how he fought Wlad, and he never claimed a bad toe there. You saw it differently from the vast majority of the non-British boxing audience worldwide. Find me a boxing journalist (not some amateur pretending to be one on a message board or Bleacher Report) not from Britain that in their write-up for the fight thought Haye should get a rematch due to the injury and would win that rematch over Wlad as well.
so now im a "hanger on".... Im a chef/Nutr... this is what I do for a living. Im at the top of my carrer line and get calls and emails from other chef/nutr asking for advise.....im working on a cookbook and am also in demand from other fighters.......I hanger on is far from it, but call me what you want, as the more you talk, the more foolish you look:hi:
Every time he went forward he stumbled. He didn't seem to stumble as much in any of his other fights. He may not have moved forward much Vs Valuev, but he didn't stumble all the time when he did do so, unlike Vs Wlad. I realise that Haye doesn't have very good footwork at the best of times, but it is a lot better than that fight suggests. I can't imagine that his legs suddenly got old at 30, and I don't think he was drugged or drunk, so I presume it was a physiological problem, like an injury, which cause the sudden drop-off in his agility and balance.
I took that out on purpose, as I felt it was unfair. I don't think you are a hanger-on per se, just that I would find it difficult for my livelihood to be so dependent on another person's talents. Maybe that didn't come out right either. Anyway, just feel secure in the knowledge that I am not after your job. :rofl
Anyway, what I thought would happen has happened - I issued an opinion not in tune with the tone of the thread, and was responded to in usual ESB fashion (although without all the "Gayetard"/"Klitlicker" stuff that usually infests these types of exchanges, so well done to everyone concerned). Carry on.
Even Booth is not making too much of this excuse, give it up. The best man won. If Haye wants a rematch, he can work himself up to a mandatory shot. If Wlad lost and came out with an excuse, Haye would laugh his butt off!! You think he would give Wlad another shot? YEAH RIGHT!!!!
I think the apologies that Haye and Booth are offering now are just part of a PR strategy. They obviously want a quick rematch, and I think Wlad is well within his rights to refuse. Whether it's a good idea financially to do so, I'm not sure, but that's his right...he holds all the cards. If Haye won, but felt he could do a better job in a rematch, sure he would. I have no doubt. He doesn't seem to shirk a challenge (at least, not until Vitali challenged him, that is). The Wlad rematch would be the biggest money he could make, other than the Vitali fight of course. As long as he won this hypothetical Wlad rematch and retained his hypothetical titles, that opportunity would still be on the table afterwards - for even more money. (And let's face it, that's all David Haye was after: talk his way to a title fight, make as much money as possible from as few fights as possible, and then get into the media in some description.) And now we return you to your scheduled MTV programming: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQt-h753jHI[/ame]
Pay the Haters no mind, you have a career, most cats don't know the difference between a career vs. job
@session..**** me ive heard it all now..if it wasnt for his little toe he would have won...you do realise breaking your little toe has ABSALUTLY NO EFFECT ON YOUR BALANCE at worst is a little pain..but nothing that would make you be outboxed completly over 12 rounds of boxing...haye got abuse about his balance because his balance has always been shite and he was fighting a guy who ALWAYS has his man off balance so put them 2 factors toe-gether and u find a certain david haye with the balance of a 10 fight novice trying to swing wildly and trying to counter then when he feels the power in the 5th he then goes into ultra defensive mode and and trys to counter even less lands few and gets outboxed completly and comprehensivly..session you cant be serious your just trolling theres just no way your that ****ing thick....
