I've been thinking about this fight a bit more, here are a few random thoughts on it. In Arreola's only two wins to go the distance in the past few years, he's managed to break his hands in both fights. He broke both of them against Quezada, and one against Adamek. Ahunaya is almost certainly going to at least extend Arreola late into their fight.
Good points. Cris was also a lot heavier and throwing more looping punches then. He's trimmed down and is getting back to the straight combos that led to his good amatuer career. I think Cris gets rounds in here. Plenty of them. Perhaps a corner or ref stoppage 10th round or later. If not, a wide UD. He will single handedly out-throw and out-land the Klit/Haye duo of last weekend.
It's Friday Ahunanya, and given how durable he is, this fight is likely to go the distance. His inactivity may enable Arreola to simply work him down to a stoppage, he might not be ready for the amount of punches per round thrown at himself against someone like Arreola.
Love Friday. But he was 230 for the Tua fight, was over 250 for the Salif fight, and will fight Arreola at 244. Friday just doesn't want it anymore, and is picking up a paycheck from boxing rather than from his taxi cab. Late stoppage by Arreola.
Arreola 236lbs? I'm quite unhappy with that, i was hoping for 230lbs. I hope he is more serious with his training for Wlad.
