In his own words , the man insulted his family , he insulted him. He had a 3 inch reach advantage... ..a two stone weight advantage.. and his own trainer begging him to let them go. Is there a series of events that COULD make Wladimir have a fight ? ( this isnt a hate thread Haye was at least as responsible if not more so for that abomination ! )
I think the opponent has got to be feather fisted and Wlad has no worry of being k.o'd. Then theyve got to do all the stuff Haye did pre-fight. It just isn't his style (anymore) At the end of the day he knows utilizing his best advantage = winning the fight, thats revenge enough Him being lured into a brawl = him playing into his oppos hands and possibly losing = poor decision
Despite Hayes shameful back pedalling Wlad could still have been well more aggressive. Steward seemed to think so too !
Who? Since his first fight against Peter (which he won) everyone has run away relentlessly. Obviously in two of his three losses (Sanders and Brewster) his opponent wanted to fight. It's been six years since someone actually tried to fight him instead of running away from him
Steward said it one time during the fight from what I can tell. He also always says this with his fighters. I remember him saying it with Lewis and Taylor. Listen to on the ropes for his take on the fight.
Yeah I guess so. I want to be a Wlad fan like I used to be but its just so hard to watch a monster like him fighting that way. and its not that Im not a sweet science fan , Hops against Pascal 2 was beautiful to watch but Hopkins never once looked like he was fighting scared.
You said it yourself , Peter for one. and if the guy is running its even more baffling that he still wants to go backwards too.
Lewis was too negative too ( although he still had a handful of tear ups ) and even if you take Steward out of equation. The man " insulted his family" and haye was clearly fighting scared and he has every single physical advantage. still though ..... no aggression
It's the smart way to fight though Him getting wound up and looking for a brawl because of a few insults = fail on his part, success on Haye's part And it would mean he gives up his biggest advantage (size) his opponents main problem during the fight is getting inside him (....) And the second he decides to make it a fight he does that for them
This is actually true. But I think he was scared enough that by not using his left arm to block the Hayemackers that one would get through if he hooked, to not do it.
Oh i dont doubt it man and you have to respect his will to win , but , its the HW championship man , y'know. Just once you want to see him stamp his autority on a fight and just go through someone. Lewis could be dull as hell but at least he had Golota and Grant , he'd stomp someone occasionally. Wlad just wont do it regardless of the aggression or lack of it by his opponenet. Sport, after all , is supposed to be entertainment
