Haye - it's Wlad or retirement. I have no beef with Vitali

Seriously, what does having a grudge have to do with making a prizefight? People say that on the streets if they don't want to fight, but I've never heard it used as an excuse for not making a pro boxing match.

Looks like retirement then, David. Thanks for "everything".

Myself, I'd rather see a guy retire with dignity, like Hagler or Michael Spinks, than to become a part-time fighter like Sugar Ray Leonard or latter-day Oscar. Once you start fighting every 19 months or so, it's only a matter of time before the rust catches up to you. Haye should either fight this fall against a top 10 opponent, or never again. That's my opinion.

Haye knows that Vitali would simply walk through his punches and beat the fu** out of him.

Just look at Shannons face after the fight...

Sad, sad news for me. I was really hoping to see Haye on Vitali's resume of KOs.

Sanders took the 1st big, in fact landed a sharper left hand than on Wlad no doubt, but Vitali then adapted and never lost a round again. He barely lost one ever since. The Byrd fight is not good for analisys since Vitali got seriously injured, but still won most rounds.

Haye's movement would give Vitali 'problems' as long as he doesn't stop and actually decide to fight, because when that happens Haye gets nailed like everyone else. So yes, his movement might give Vitali a hard time to land, on the other hand Haye's pathetic movemnt is as good as a complete schooling. Go and open up on Vitali and Haye gets brutalized like Shannon Briggs.

I'm listening to any working David Haye plan vs. Vitali, the 'hoping 40yo Vitali gets old' is discounted.

He's seen the way Vitali looks at Wlad when he has his shirt off. Has Vitali ever has a girlfriend?

That's an excellent point. Professional boxers fight for money, for sport, for fame etc. They don't fight to settle "beefs" (or at least not necessarily so). Otherwise I would like to know exactly what "beef" Haye had with all of the other people he has fought, amateur and pro - and perhaps also everyone he has sparred with?

If you analysed all of the comments made by Haye, his team and his fans, you will find endless logical fallacies and contradictions.

There isn't much use in pointing this out. Those who are smart enough already know it, whereas Haye and his fans are simply too stupid to know how stupid they sound.

any recent news from Haye? is he sticking to his "rematch or retire" statements? Or will Haye keep fighting on, to try to get in line for another shot at Wlad

Haye just lost some of the respect he'd recently gained with me.

I guess big money and Vitali's WBC title is not reason enough.............. Or maybe Haye' don't think his shots can rattle Vitali, as he did Wlad in the 12th.

I though Bonte said a Vitali Haye fight was (likely?) at the end of this year or early next? Would he have said that with Haye saying *no* to the fight?

But then again, maybe Haye has flip flopped again.

Wlad and Vitali are in London tomorrow. They will probably be on breakfast tv, sky and they will definately be on bbc radio, because the presenter tweeted it earlier.

so..I'm sure we will have some news.
