:smooch This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected (No homo) :nono Price needs a few more fights before going for the Euro because when he wins that he will be straight in line for a world title shot and he should not go near that for quite awhile. The McDermott fight is very good and I would love to see him fight Sprott, Audley and the winner and loser of Chisora vs Fury before moving on but he certainly does not need opponents of less worth than those mentioned.
I think 4 fights before the Euro would be to many. Sprott or Fraudey and the winner of Del Boy and Tyson I agree. Then if he comes through them the shot at the euro. Should he win that then a fight stateside followed by a HW title eliminator then that should hopefully take him to 16-0 and in a good state to fight Wlad should he still be about. That'd be my plan anyway.
Price has some skill, but he's a little stiff, and has the chin of a light heavyweight at best. I think Fury and Chisora are a little better.
I find it funny how 6 months ago people were saying Price will get beat easily by the likes of Fury and Chisora, funny how everybody has changed there tune. Everybody is realising Price has the skills and power, we just need that chin checking.
A lot of talk r.e his chin. I neither agree or for that matter disagree with it. Only time will tell I suppose. He had Fury in the amateurs...
And then he gets KTFO in round 1. 16-0 is a mad amount of fights to be going into a Wlad fight with. He is a long way off looking half the fighter capable of beating Wlad and needs many fights and much improvement before world title fights are on the table. Cleaning up the best of the domestic fighters would give him a very good start and a Euro belt would be good at the end of that but he would still need a few fights against very good quality opponents on top of that.
I agree to an extent fella for sure. However you have to look at the recent Solis fight Vs. Vitali, he was 17-0. It all depends on who his fights are against in my opinion and how well he dominates them. If he fights 5 bums and gets to 16-0 then I 100% he would be nowhere near. However let's say this happens. Sexton, Del-boy/Fury, Peter then a title eliminator then i'd say he could be ready for a shot. Whether he would win or not is another matter!
And did you give Solis any hope of winning? Surely the entire point is winning the title and not just turning up for a payday. To give himself a better chance he needs to improve the best he can and face a long line of quality opponents both in fights and sparrring and after so few fights I could only see a quick KO loss against either Klit. I could not see him beating Peter after two fights either.
Sexton, Chis and Peter would be the worst prep for taking on Wlad...he needs to fight a bit of height
Vitali wont be around in 3 years time...he is slowing down by the fight and letting guys like Kevin Johnson and S. Briggs last the distance. Wlad could still be around. Price is good, but he needs a proper strength coach at 6'8 and 245 is a little too thin...he could deffo lose some body fat and gain some functional muscle strength. Filling out to 260 would be nice. If Price keeps improving and watches R. Bowe, L. Lewis and Wlad...then the world could be his. Need to strengthen his neck....tall fighters are there to be knocked out.
Dont think Price should take on Chisora or Fury. Sept J. McDermot Oct R. Austin Nov A. Harrison 2012 Feb M. Harris Those type of fights, guy that have seen better days but are step up from journeyman. Harris would provide a difficult test for price.
yup...i am one of those...don't mind admitting it.....and i am realising he has the skills and power. also, as for fury or chisora...rather than him not going for a fight with the winner, i dont think the winner would want price. i wouldn't be surprised if price ended up bypassing the british title altogether and going a european route....kinda like what frank bruno did in his time.
This man is developing some heavy heavy hands , like the TS i myself have been well aware of Pricey from a young age as im from Liverpool too . Personally i think he'd blitz Tyson Fury tomorrow :deal
