Has to be Mayweather Jr. If he knows he could get his azz kick he will not take that fight. That's what you call smart.

Really ? In 50 years they will still call it ducking and he won't be what he set out to be - better than SRR. he got caught up in the "prize" aspect and derailed himself from the high ranking that would last till the end of time.
Kind of like making a deal with the devil. He done ****ed up.

I think hopkins could be smarter then floyd, he is basically schooling guys he is supposed to lose against because of his ring iq alone, he doesnt have the phsyical gifts at this point that floyd still has, allthough its interesting to see what floyd will look like in a few years when he is forced to survive on ring iq alone as well.:p

Might have to add David "Princess" Haye to the list:

He turned a mediocre talent & a big mouth into an $18 mil payday.

    That's pretty clever.

Business-wise, I'd say Larry Holmes. The man made a fortune outside the ring.

Lennox Lewis was an accomplished chess player and very well-rounded, but Bobby Chyz (?) was literally a genius.

That is good but it's still Tunney, he did all of the above and retired as HeavyWeight Champ

At the moment I'd go with Hopkins of active fighters.
