So Bute is a bum who doesn't fight anyone but tomato cans yet you guys aren't happy giving him the chance to step up and fight the best in the division? :huh

 

I'm all for him stepping up his opposition, but I don't see what he's done to earn him the right to challenge #1

 

He's earned his right by being unbeaten (questionably) and marketable enough. The winner of the super six v Bute makes more money worldwide than the winner against anyone else including Mikkel Kessler. And that's the way boxing works.

Bute is easily dispatching fringe title contenders like Andrade (in the rematch) and Edison Miranda. He needs to step up of course and it is a joke that some rate him as #1 already but it's clear he's got at least some talent.

I'm against fake champions and padded records as much as the next man and Bute is one of these but skill-wise he's not that far below the likes of Kessler, Froch, Ward and Dirrell if at all.

 

He can step up without fighting THE very best. Personally I don't think he has earned it. He needs to fight a Kessler, Dirrell, Johnson, **** even a Pavlik, before he gets to fight the S6 winner. I think he has to earn the right, rather than being given the shot by beating Magee and Brinkley.

 

Oh I know where you're coming from and I'm not disagreeing that his opposition is terrible but he 'earns' the right by being marketable enough. That's always how it works. What did Andre Ward do to earn a shot at Mikkel Kessler when he was #1?

So he gets first pop at the top man at SMW without having gone through the pain of the super six....**** him, and **** the manky horse he rode into town on....****ing chancer he is.

 

Thats the obvious choice...lost to one finallist and beat the other...its a natural match either way.

 

I can't stand the bloke he looks like a wrong-un. He has one of them smiles that annoys me. Creepy looking ****er.

Anyways his boxing ability he's good but i watched the Magee fight and wasn't overly impressed with him. His bodyshots are fantastic but i noticed Brian enjoyed relative success at times during that fight.

I won't be watching that pile of **** tomorrow night. The guy doesn't deserve my or any of our attention till he fights someone decent. Tomorrow's a mando but lets face it he probably smiled when he heard he had to fight Mendy.

 

He is a creepy looking ****er but he hails from Romania,so it's understandable.

 

You're right, but yu watch, it'll happen. As someone said previously he ****ed off a "unification" fight with Stieglitz, one would think because he thought there was a bigger unification fight down the road with s6 winner, and you can bet your bottom dollar his promotors think the same. He might not have earned the right, but so many haven't In the past, why should we be surprised? Ffs Allan green got in the s6 on the back of nothing!!

 

**** this cocksucker. He hasn't earned a shot at Ward or Froch or Kessler.

 

He wasn't invited to the Super Six and all the other decent fighters refused to fight him, including Stieglitz and now Kessler. His opposition has been underwhelming, can't debate that.
