This would have made a good british title fight. With all due respect to Burns and Cook he could have gotten a better opponent.

Cant deny the weak defence bit though Billy you keep saying Ricky is going to step up then we get a fight like this.I am not a hater and think he is given no credit whatsoever here but wether it is you Fwankie or Dean Powell who says who fights who these fights do Ricky or his fans no favours. It is ridiculous that a Scottish fighter is defending his World Title in Liverpool and although theoretically top of the bill is actually 3rd.

I hope they are, to be honest.

No offense to Cook, but he has done nothing to warrant a 'world' title shot. His only fight since getting stopped in four against Martinez in 2009 is a six rounder against a journeyman in Al Hamidi. :-(

Shocking fight, but dont even know why I comment on it anymore. Wish they'd just be honest and say they're try to earn Ricky plenty of money. He seems a top bloke so I'm sure no-one would care if they said that.

It's not the worst division in the sport.

Nicky Cook looked nothing special whatsover on the Groves Degale undercard. Burns will win in a boring points decision.

And what's worse then? Because, now that Calderon's moved down, it ain't strawweight, which was super-feather's biggest rival for that mantle.
