Cotto has stated it is not official yet. Simple handshake with Bob agreeing to take the fight tells me Cotto is up for renegotiating his contract. Bob hasn't offered anything but this Margarito fight. Cotto doesn't seem to thrilled about it, stating it wasn't his first option.

I think Marg should win depending on if that beating PAC put on him hasn't taken too much out of him. I think it goes the distance and it's a close fight. But I think tony wins based on styles. It will be interesting to see if Cotto can stay the course and box...or if he suffers the same lapse in wanting to go toe to toe when Marg begins to close distance.

After the wraps incident, Cotto seemed adamant about fighting Margarito again. I would have though he'd be still itching to get at Margarito. What's changed his mind? Is he possibly having second thoughts after seeing him in there with Pacquiao?

A lot of people were saying the same thing before the Marg Cotto fight a few years back. Of course time changes a lot but old dogs do not learn new tricks easy all the time.

Cotto beat Yuri Foreman. While it's a title no one questions that Cotto would always be able to beat a guy like Yuri. Marg would have destroyed yuri as well.

Marg has gone 1 and 2 in his last 3 fights which isn't good but when you consider the two fights he lost....Shane and PAC... it's not all that bad. PAC's done busted up A LOT of big Welters over the course of his WW stint.

It will be interesting to see if Cotto can extract revenge or solidify that Marg simply has his number. Makes for a great pre fight build up for sure.

You aren't factoring that 1 fight where he looked absolutely terrible vs a nobody.

And on top of this, hes a CHEATER. He doesn't deserve another payday and title shot.

No plaster and he's taken a lot of punishment from Cotto, Mosley, and Pacquiao.

    I would take Cotto here.
