Of course...that's a pro fight. It was a tune up and while Marg didn't look like his aggressive self, he did show his boxing skills and DOMINATED. It was just a boxing match which we aren't use to seeing in Marg. He was looking to get rounds in.

There's a lot of cheaters in the sports world. And although Margs actions were dispicable he's paid his dues and deserves a 2nd shot. It's up to guys like Cotto and anyone else to give him a shot at redemption so we can't all blame MARG for doing what he's doing as a boxer which is to fight.

The most recent news from the s c e n e indicates that it's not yet finalized, since Arum is still hearing offers from both Madison Square Garden and the MGM Grand. MSG as a venue would supposedly have problems with the cost of hotel arrangements because of the December prices around NYC, but they're trying to give a good offer due to the crowd they would bring, but as of now Vegas is offering more. So Arum is in the middle of that I think.

He deserves a second shot at a title already?

After losing to a guy who doesn't even belong at 154. :patsch

It's not up to Cotto. It's up to Arum. Disgraceful.

Like I said.....It's not Margs decision who he gets a title shot from and how soon. It's up to the champion who just so happens to seem to want a crack at marg again.

Considering that PAC doesn't belong at 147 either, yet he's destroying top level comp...I'd say that just b/c he lost to the "smaller" guy at 154 doesn't really go against him too much. Marg did A LOT better than everyone else whom have faced Manny and been destroyed. Including Cotto.

It's up to Cotto...Cotto could fight his mandatory. Bob is gonna be a promoter regardless of morality or ethics. He's about his paper. He'll put Marg in there with Cotto but it has to be Miguel who accepts the proposition. Which he did.

Again...I'm not condoning Margs actions....but he's not the first or last to cheat who have gotten caught and received a 2nd chance. Think of the number of fighters who have never been caught who are still fighting now.

There lies the risk. Has Margaritos chin finally cracked. Its bound to crack sooner or later and after the punishment he received in the Pac fight you would think so. However Margarito is one tough guy and Cotto does not pack the type of punch Pac does along with the speed and intensity.

I see Margarito stopping Cotto even earlier this time.
Its at 154 and Margarito has only gotten bigger. By fight night I guarantee you he comes in at close to 170. He will pressure Cotto nonstop knowing that the more pressure the quicker he gets Cotto out of there.

Other than his volume of punches, it was a mystery to me the damage Margarito did to his opponents. Then the plaster was revealed and it all made sense. Without the plaster I do not see Margarito defeating a top fighter now or in the past. I would like to see Margarito take on Cintron again, after Cotto is through with him. A fight between Cintron and Margarito would not have much importance in boxing today, but it make give some satisfaction to Cintron.

Exactly. Ask Cintron if he wants a rematch.
"Ay no. Me va a chingar como una puta" is what he will say.

Margarito never was known for his power. He was known for outworking his opponents and grinding them down via acticity. You would think a guy with loaded pads would be KOing people cold not outworking them.

If Margos chin stands then i think he beats both Cotto and Cintron via stoppage.

Hey....I still like the way Marg fights. I think he's scum but I think PAC handled some justice in the ring by almost sending Marg into retirement with a detached retina. I like Cotto and would love to see him get his own revenge...only it's not set in stone...nor is the fact that Marg may NOT have had loaded gloves in the fight with Miguel We just don't know.

There will be A LOT of answered questions come December if thsi fight happens. If Cotto dominates, gets his revenge and moves on..then we'll know that Marg is done and that his loaded gloves assisted in the outcome of their first fight. If Cotto loses...well...then we know that the loaded gloves were a non issue in their fight especially if it's a brutal as the first fight.

Their first fight was a classic and I'm all for the rematch.
