I do agree Martinez is over hyped on here, but he's going to be a level above Barker.

After the super 6 I hope Martinez steps upto the Super middleweight division.

Hope he's not ruined for a Macklin fight. That is the one we really want.

shall I get involved in this one? Hhmmmmm............its Friday night and I am waiting to go out so I'll go easy.

all I will say is that I am GUTTED that Martinez will streamroller him before either Lee or Macklin got a chance to smash the chinny hypejob about.

even if they beat him after that there will be cries that "he was never the same after the one sided beatdown he got off Marthinez"

Why do you hate Barker? It is not as if Barker is cocky or arrogant, he is actually a nice guy?!

I feel Martinez is milking it quite a bit.... Last year he beat Pavlik and KTFO Williams.
This year it's Dzinziruk and Barker... Surely a step in the wrong direction.

the fight with Samuels started it off.

the arselicking he gets in Boxing News pushed it a little further

his rasict ****bags of fans fermented it

ducking Lee for the European title sealed it...

.......and the Macklin rivallry is the cherry on top!

    :good

I have never been to a Barker fight so can't say if his fans are racist or not. I could say the same about Mccloskey fans bombarding Amir Khans fan page with racial abuse.

True to an extent, but there's about a dozen other boxers who are better than these 2 in the division... At least a rubber match with Williams!

Plus all the great fighters move up weights to get the big fights, and considering Martinez's size; it shouldn't be too much of a problem competing at Super middle
    weight.

I've just lost respect for taking this route, he's in the prime and in the form of his life but for how much longer at the age of 36!

It'd be like Pacquiao fighting the likes of Senchenko and Bailey.

He wasn't a big Light Middleweight Sud, losing respect for him for taking on title defences at 160 is very harsh IMHO.

Shouldnt you be backing him? - if he wins and macklin wins as well, we can have a huge all-english battle to unify their titles!

Don't get me wrong I do like him, it just disappointed due to the fact that he could be in decline soon, if he was 5 years younger I wouldn't have cared, but his last fight wasn't competitive and the Barker fight may be the same.

It's also the fact that I know he could probably destroy the Super Middle weight division!
