Sonnen was winning the fight by a big scoring margin, but it wasn't a one sided fight. Silva was getting some good shots in.

In the end, Sonned got finished inside the distance. That is way more significant in a fight than a points win. Sonnen was being choked. Anderson was literally killing him.

Sonnen's going to molest Stann for three rounds, as much as I'm going to hate to see it. Stann has no takedown defense so his window of opportunity to land on and finish Chael is small. Add in the fact that Chael has shown considerable mandibular fortitude in the past and that chance for Stann to land a fight ender before he's dumped on his ass and wrestle****ed becomes even less.

Silver Stars don't add points to takedown defense and Stann can't carry his M4 into the ring, so you're probably going to be sorely disappointed when Sonnen beats Stann up.

A good fight to see who is going to progress at 185.

Sonnen is coming off a long lay off, a career best performance and accusations that make it important to see what he has left to offer.

Stann has tore his way through to a pretty decent reputation at middleweight in a fairly short space of time, he seems a beast at the weight in terms of raw punching power, but the one thing everyone wants to know about are his longterm grappling prospects, especially takedown defence.

Phil Davis is a massive light heavyweight, Chael a big middle; this is where we will really see if Stann has made any improvements in his technique training under Greg Jackson.

Good fight, though Machida Vs Chael wouldve been quality too, and a chance for Sonnen to get into fighting shape without needing a big cut. The build-up wouldve been quality and Lyoto has an opponent to keep him ticking over before we see him and Jon Jones.

Who da **** is Lyoto gonna' fight now?!?

 I hope Stann wins; I'm starting to become a fan of his, ****ing hooah. Hopefully, Sonnen won't have a case of recurring back-ne at weigh in.

I find Sonnen's schtick hilarious but I'd prefer to see Stann win just because huge KOs are more entertaining than three rounds of tepid GnP. That being said, it won't matter what I want to happen or how hard Chael roids because Stann has **** takedown defense, Chael has sick wrestling chops, and a chin that can survive Stann's onslaught long enough to take him down and wrestle**** him some more.

People be giving Sonnen **** but Stann said he's shown him respect and this fight isn't gonna have any hype build up. Knew it, Joe Silva is a ****ing idiot for making this fight. Should've put Munoz against either man, and Bisping or Miller against the other, or Belcher, or anyone. Not playing to Sonnen's advantages.

I'd love to have seen Sonnen vs Machida personally. Chael called it, he should've been given it.

Your probably right; if the fight goes two rounds then I'll be happy.
