I just watched a few fights of mayweather, mosely, judah and marquez and castillo.

I was amazed how succeptible he is to the looping right to his ears of temple.
if you try and catch him with any type of left he makes you look foolish.

marquez landed many of these rigths on him but just did not have any power at all to make an impression, mosely landed 2 of these shots and almost took him out. Nanzim is good and saw this.

Mayweather takes your confidence away and then beats the **** out of you.

Ortiz must not belive he can lose in order to win.

I noticed that a little too. That punch isn't thrown often and catches you off guard a little.

Also I'd like to mention that the southpaw straight left to the body can have some success against him

The thing about Floyd is, he doesn't just adapt to what happened earlier in the fight, he adapts to what happened to him in other fights. He completely shut Mosley's looping right down after the second round. (plus, Ortiz is a southpaw that doesn't throwing any looping right hands)

The overhand right is one of the most continuously landed significant punches on Mayweather. His high-guard transition often nullifies it, but if you're a talented orthodox boxer/boxer-puncher, you can anticipate that and create multiple potential game-plans with the right hand setting things up and scoring well early on. Nobody around right now fits that bill, but theoretically it's not a bad thing for a fighter to keep in mind when facing him.

exactly. Also the looping right hand is something that can't be thrown much at all without allowing you to get counter to ****.

Yeah that's the way I see it. I can be caught by it sometimes by surprise, because I never expect somebody to throw it.

yes but he has a good right hook which judah hit mayweather many times and gave him fits.

True, Floyd has always had problems with Southpaws. Ortiz better come in with plans A-Z if he expects to beat Floyd.

He's only vulnerable to it if it's thrown at the right angle. Floyd always dips his head down behind his shoulder. The best thing to do against that defense is start with a feint or jab, go to the body and bring the right hand back upstairs. You have to set up your power punches against Floyd. If you throw more then 1 punch to his head, your not gonna land anything but the first. If your a southpaw it's a different story.

he's a sucker to those punches, but his adjustments during the fight still makes these punches useless.
