Peak Brewster ('04 Wlad to '06 Liakhovich) is quite underrated, i think he takes this by grinding down Byrd for a late TKO, or edging a close decision.
Brewster always has a punchers chance....BUt 8 outof 10 times Byrd outslicks and almost pitces a shut out... Outside of Brewsters punch,hes made for Byrd. Brewster is no Ibeabuchi(skillwise) and wouldnt be able to catch up to Byrd,or walk him down.
This is a big myth that Byrd was outboxing Ike until he scored some lucky punch and I think it's because Ike himself said beforehand something along the lines of I'm only looking for 1 punch to knock him out I don't care if he outboxes me before that. In reality Ibeabuchi was stalking and bullying Byrd, working his body and landing punches way before the KO, I think I had it pretty even
Byrd was outboxing Ike and he hurt Ike with some bodyshots. Ike did some good work but he was losing the fight when he landed the big one. Won´t happen everytime.

Byrd would probably outslick him. I still kind of associate Brewster with luck, to be honest. I think he was pretty lucky against Vlad, pretty lucky to get a decision against Meehan. Krasniqi turned out to be nothing much. And in hindsight the Golota knockout doesn't seem such a big accomplishment, given that Ray Austin was able to do the same thing. Of course Byrd had luck against Vitali, Oquendo, and Golota...three fights that could've easily been losses on his record. Nonetheless, I think he had some less flukey victories and I'd favor him over Brewster.
I don't think Byrd was as used to dealing with bigger, quality opponents when he faced Ibeabuchi, and Ibeauchi was better schooled than most of the big guys that Byrd ever fought, though Byrd was still able to land with relative ease. The difference was that Ike knew how to press a fight better, and it allowed him to land that big left hand. Then again Byrd looked very shaky when McCline bothered to throw some punches, fortunately for him McCline never had much "killer instinct" and never put up a sustained attack like Ibeabuchi's. Brewster would probably make it another relatively close fight, by continuing to pressure Byrd, but in the end he just didn't have much in the way of skill. That's a big handicap against Byrd who made a career out of abusing lesser skilled opponents.
