Is Burns vs Cook the least anticipated All British world title fight ever?

I have a feeling that some of the least anticipated fights turn out to be best. Looks at the PPV junk we have had recently. Go Ricky! The way some people talk on here they would rather have mexican road sweepers fighting in Mexico for the WBO title than two home fighters.

 

It is a poor fight, in a not so great division, there's no denying that. It's also not the most anticipated fight on the card, end of.

We all know Ricky will win, there's no denying that. I'm just intrested to see Burns' next opponents, and when it's probably another tomato can, see how the "picked on Scottish poster's" try defend it

 

I've refrained up and till now to post, joke of a fight and you guys get hammered fot saying so. Each and everyone of you are fans and customers to the sport, all sensical views should be greeted with open arms. As fans of the sport you dislike burns recent fights, instead of billy sayjng the lad is just earning some cash before we go full out on a unification quest to clean the division. Nope instead we get mad anti scottish tangents and billy just insults you for disagreeing with him and stating the fact burns is fighting bodies.

Burns is a good fighter, no doubt, now just fight a legitimate contender to show everyone your the real deal.

 

It's under the radar for sure and will stay that way. However, it's a fun domestic fight. I spoke to Nicky and the interview will be on next week's Boxing Hour and I will try and get Ricky on for balance.
In the last 15 years there have been many world title fights that were inferior to this one.

Haye v Harrison is not in the class of some of the super duds that we have had given to us in the UK as 'world' title fights...come on...get creative...only WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and WBU counts for the purposes of this list...I might have this as a theme for next week's show...

I meant one that superseded cook v burns in recent times. The reason for all this anger is because frank is t it again, cook does not deserve this fight period! Burns is night and day above cook, cook has had reported troubles of cocaine addiction too which further proves he shouldn't be matched. The wbo should have said no, but they don't because they are on the payroll that is why frank has all his fighters go for the wbo. Don't take my word for it Steve, you know the game yourself. Burns is wasting his prime fighting these guys when he should be fighting the elite in the sfw. Bribery has fought de Leon and litzau in his last 2 fights and they weren't even for world title whereas burns has fought evensen (who?) and laryea and both have been for a 'world title' says it all.

Good idea on phone in for shocking title fights, do me a favour a d tally the suggestions by promoters and see how many frank has been responsible for please...

 

And theres me thinking you would have interveiwed the champion first Steve.oh well doesnt matter anyway cooks going to get his ass handed to him on a plate next week,ive never seen Burns so focused and punching so hard.

 

Burns has never been a puncher and I dont expect him to turn into one all of a sudden. Besides Martinez finished Cook in 4 so its hardly an achivement is it. i think Billy is claiming Bunce is anti-scottish as well. You do have a massive king edward on your shoulder mate.
