Teddy should shut the fu** up because his boy Povetkin didn't even show up to the fight. Not once but TWICE.

If beatin Wlad was so easy then why didn't Povetkin already it? Why did he ***** out twice?

Really? I missed that...it would explain the change of heart by Povetkin recently (saying he's ready to fight Wladimir). I guess his handlers are ready to cash in. :D

The fight with Chagaev will take place when Teddy has commitments to ESPN and can't be involved. He won't come to the US of A to train. Probably a designed move to edge him out of the picture. I think they wanted Teddy for the publicity and even that backfired on them.

Its the same ole stupid "what if" scenario you could say about any fighter. Fact is that Wlad is just better at taking away his opponents best assets away with his own. That's why nobody can get over on him.
Atlas admitted early in the broadcast last night that he knew his fighter(Povetkin) wasn't ready for Wlad and that something better would come up. So I guess Chagaev, a guy Wlad destroyed is that something better????? For the paper made up "regular" WBA title, when Wlad is the "real" WBA champ? I'm glad Povetkin won't be training with Atlas for this fight, and I hope he wins the paper title. Another title Atlas will miss out on because he's a straight jerk. How many fighters now have walked away from him now? They should all be careful since we all now Teddy went to Donny Lalondes house to kill him that time for changing trainers then winning a title.
I used to actually enjoy Teddy on FNF's, but now I think they need a change in commentators more than anything on that show. His analogies are just tired as hell.

This is why Atlas is a bitter guy who can't find a top boxer that wants anything to do with him. He doesn't know jack ****.

Nothing at all.........IDK, his hookjab followed by a straight R might scare some fighters. Well, all of them come to think of it.

    Here's the point.......

Wlad will shoot you with the jab and the straight when you fight him outside. And if you come in on him without throwing, your'e gonna catcha hook that could knock you the **** out.

If you come in firing, he'll lean back and tie you up, or slip your shot and fire a counter R, putting you on ***** street.

How many fighters out there could consistently take that abuse while at the same time mounting an offensive attack with multiple power shots capable of legally hurting(not counting Peter's or Hayes rabbit shots) Wlad to the point where he is taken out of his game.

    So far........only 1.

The Purrity loss was exhaustion, and the Brewster loss was inexplicable as Wlad was throwing at his typical dominant rate, but then his eyes started glazing over and his skin started to turn pale yellow at the end of the second round. He still dominated to a degree for two more rds, but then suddenly, without a punch landing, his eyes were rolling back in his head when Brewster landed some meaningless punches, Wlad started falling backwards and then Brewster landed the viscious left hook that had Wlad reeling.

The rematch was a video copy of the first fight, w/o the sickly look that preempted his defeat.

ATlas is a decent broadcaster but he also thought Grant could do things at heavyweight. More bark than bite to TEddy's analysis.

When people saw Atlas not let Moorer sit down between rounds against Holy, or get tired against Foreman and tell him to jab and stay away from big George now that you have a big lead......they shouldve known he was nothing more than a broadcaster.

Haye's gameplan was based on him having wladimir on ***** street the first decent punch he landed. Haye did land on Wladimir, wladimir chin was not china. Haye had one gameplan only, once Wladimir chin held up, he was done.

Why because he is a counter puncher who feints rather than throws punches. He has had 25 fights, learnt most from fighting the 'cat' e.g. to train and not fight like an amateur.

When he moved to heavyweight he reverted to pot shoting from the outside. The only time he improved once against Ruiz. That only happen because he was gasing out. He then went for speed rather than power shots, which is how he generates power.
All on a sudden his accuracy improved, the stamina issue disappeared and the power cam back.

What is disappointing he fought his worse option against Wladimir e.g. a single haymaker.
The speed option would have troubled Wladimir a lot more. However he could take Haye's punches and came back with heavy shots himself. He threw more when it liven up and Haye had to get on his bike.

Haye was only going to beat Wladimir by a knockout nothing else because his workrate is so low. We watched the fight because people felt Haye had the power to knock Wladimir out. The moment we found out he had not you had a 25 fight counter puncher who throws hardly any punches against a guy with a great defensive style. Who throws punches. If you do not throw punches you do not win boxing matches unless you can knock the other guy out.

Haye is not a great example. Without the Wladimir chin story it would have been a none event.

Haye does have the skills but he needs to train like a boxer now not a sprinter. He needs to have an offensive not just a counter punching style. At least if he is going to counter punch he needs to stay in range longer and throw more punches. The Ruiz fight proves he can to a degree. His fitness is way to low to trouble any fit atheltic heavy whose skills and not a country mile below hayes.

Haye is quicker than Wladimir, able to avoid his shots, lands a decent amount of his power shots. What he lacks is some fundmental skills to go with his raw ingredients. An inside game, stamina, stamina, scoring punches not just feints when he is not throwing power shots, stamina, he has a good jab why not use it, stamina. Give him even a half decent attack his speed would make it very dangerous, stamina.

Haye became a decent fighter after losing to the 'Cat'. He can be a great fighter after losing to 'Wladimir'. If he is still hungry.

Haye's lacking of boxing education cost him against Wladimir. Wladimir is very vunerable to an educated Haye type fighter. The problem was Haye was not educated as a boxer. Frankly their is nobody to teach him in the ring prior to fighting Wladimir.

Haye could have fought a lot better if he went for speed not power, however Wladimir simply up'ed his game when he was tagged. Haye at the very least would need to steal rounds to make a rematch interesting. At present he does not have the stamina or an attack to do it.

So I agree with Atlas if he can find 5 fighters as fast as Haye, with Haye's power and they are educated in boxing far more than Haye. I do not see those ingredients out there. Finding a big heavyweight of Wladimir's size with even half the ingredients would be even more difficult.

I still think Haye is the best better, perhaps a couple of years under Roach would at least see Haye at his peak with the experience to match Wladimir. That would be a hell of a fight. Still would be 50/50 on haye winning.

I think people are so disappointed in Haye because they failed to see he only had one way of fighting which relies on a knockout.

Hayes fans knew their guy was too small, but knew that Haye talked himself into a fight. Yes, Haye should've taken more chances. Wlads fans are proud of wlad as if he won a classic atg fight, but fans also wanted Wlad to take more chances, and boxing fans as a whole were disappointed that the fight got so much hype only to disappoint.

Povetkin should have went with Kevin Rooney if he wanted to learn from that style Atlas ruins everyone he touches.
