curtis woodhouse - frankie gavin adds new stipulations a week before fight

No disrespect Frankie but it's still a little out of order. I know it's ok for you being the prospect that gets things his own way but I doubt you'd be happy the other way round.

 

This ain't the way to win fans Frankie. Can't see the need for this so early on in your career, especially when you should outclass him anyway.

 

I like Frankie, but this is a shitty thing to do to Curtis, out of order. :-(

 

Worse things have happened in boxing, look at Mayweather/Marquez scenario least Frankie had the respect to tell him prior to the weigh in that he wouldn't make weight, Mayweather just acted as if he knew no differant. Not the best move in the world but '****' is harsh.

I read that Froch logs EVERYTHING, in or out of training.......even down to his salad dressings as a treat.......dunno how true, regardless.

A week before the fight....you/camp realise you cant make the weight ?

 

Apparently he heard rumour but it wasn't confirmed until they stood on the scales, I don't know the whole truth obviously either way Frankie has at least informed Curtis. Its not an ideal situation but if he cant get down to weight then he cant do it at least he has informed him, and Frankie has confirmed Curtis has received financial compensation. I just think people throwing insults like '****' around is out of order its not as if he's fought with no padding in his gloves, or illegal products on his wraps now thats a ****!

Tbh when people say he should be aiming for titles and whinge at FrankW there's not much he can get for the lad when he hasn't got a weight to fight at yet. He should be settled in at a weight by now.

Least from now on we know he's staying at WW and can't make 140lbs.

 

Yeah I think I remember seeing Froch's log book prior to the Pascal fight, everything, including his times, are logged.

 

would like to see Gavin take on a strength & conditioning coach/dietician. look at what Ariza did for Khan.

as it stand Gavin is to small as a 147 fighter. at the world level you have guys like Cintron, Williams, Berto all giants coming in at that weight.

 

I'm shocked he hasn't got one if that's the case i mean he's a FrankW fighter he's got enough backing to hire one. I thought it was part and parcel nowadays for prospects and champions to hire one obviously not.
