I love life , it surprises me everyday.

Floyds biggest win was against Oscar de la Hoya who would struggle to get in anyones top 100 fighters.

Outside of that Floyds biggest wins were against Hatton and Corrales, who would struggle to get in the top 20 of their own divisions.

Just take a quick look at who Robinson beat then come back to me .

 

Wow, just wow.

How can anyone compare Ricky Hatton, a light welter to 2 great middleweights is beyond me.

It's like saying because Hopkins beat and aggressive left hooker like Tito you couldn't prove he couldn't beat Joe Frazier. ****ing pure insanity.

Not to mention Robinson gave LaMotta one of the worse beatings ever and he knocked Graziano out in devastating fashion. Let's see Floyd go all the way up to middleweight and knock out a fighter as good as Graziano in 3 rounds.

 

Sugar Ray Robinson had TWO HUNDRED FIGHTS.

He had OVER 100 knockouts.

It is unfair to compare SRR to ANY modern era fighter.

Let's see Mayweather fight 100 times.

jake lamotta was universally recognised as uncrowned middleweight champ for 4 years during the divisions golden age , Robinson beat him 5 to 1 in 6 fights .

Hatton was an above average brawler who failed at A list level

at this stage in his career Floyd would have been a very good 10 round prospect back in 1947 - nothing more .

Rankings on a list don't necessarily equal who's better than the other. Robinson would obviously be higher ranked than Tyson but that doesn't mean ****.

I feel that Robinson wins, but there is a debate. To just brush off Floyd's chances are insane.

Anyways....

Floyd starts off controlling the distance with Ray fighting easy, flicking out jabs and the occasional right hand - left hook combination, which Floyd manages to negate (with difficulty.)

Eventually, Robinson gets into his groove, but so does Mayweather! Ray starts throwing powerful and fast combinations, with Floyd blocking and slipping a lot of them, and throwing brutal counters. In the middle rounds, Robinson's superior head and body attack is overwhelming Mayweather, whom is up on the cards. Ray pounds to the body hard, slowing Floyd down.

Mayweather tags Robinson, but this doesn't stop him from whacking Floyd powerfully with uppercuts. In the late rounds, Floyd is battered and tired, and gets knocked out by the superior Sugar Ray Robinson.

Let me add that welterweight isn't Floyd's best weight, just like middleweight isn't Ray's best weight. You can still compare how a fight would go between them, but it'd be more fare to Floyd to compare him against the great super featherweights.
