Right folks, everyone so far seems to have missed my point about how many brit champions in the modern era have fought the best in their division within a year of them pulling off an amazing win against the odds like Ricky Burns did against the no1 in the division.

So I thought I would bring the point up again, just incase anyone missed it by accident.

He doesn't have to fight the 'best' in the division, whoever that is Dunk. Are you being deliberately obtuse? The general idea is he should be fighting people of a better standard than Nicky Cook and no matter how much smoke you try and blow up Nicky's arse to either make this not seem like a mismatch or to make Burns look better in the likely eventuality that he wins, we're not falling for it.

Just look at Cooks record, 30+ wins & two defeats, one against the guy that Ricky Burns had to put in a superhuman effort to win, a guy that has held a european title, a world title, a guy that many tipped here to beat Scott Harrison, are you seriously trying to tell me that a guy with that pedigree in the fight game is a bum who doesnt stand a chance, fighting in his own neck of the woods just cos hes been inactive?
