I agree. I remember when that went around Floyd was actually at 140 at the time and he mentioned he wanted to fight Winky. Winky said yes and then Floyd said Winky wanted too much money. Well Winky was in P4P contention and the champ at 154. Floyd wasn't yet the money maker he was now and had never been on PPV at the time. He really didn't want Winky and everyone knew it.
Marquez is unquestionably the greater fighter, but at 135. I'd have to pick Castillo. If Juan Diaz could make Marquez sweat, then Castillo certainly could get to him.
Scene always tries to be the first to post something and they end up making mistakes with misquotes and premature news. But I like reading their stuff though. If its the correct info, they're usually the first to post it.
No he wasnt , the best in his era was Shane Mosley who had to jump to Welter to get any decent fights. Also an era has to be more than a couple of fights. Also todays 135lbs are terrible that is also why JMM has to move up to 147.
This. They do tend to get alot right , but also make alot of mistakes , and there is no way on this earth that Floyd offered Margarito a fight.
after Judah lost, they were "reportedly" scrambling around trying to find an alternative and looked Corey Spinks and other fighters as a substitute and Margarito was one of them. But the problem was Margarito was only Margarito was going to be fighting too soon after his fight with Gomez
**** man. Floyd's head movement is too good. Floyd will destroy tyson with his jab alone. Floyd's check hook is so good that even if floyd scrapes tyson's face with his glove, tyson will go into coma after that.
I am a HUGE Mayweather fan. He is probably my favorite active fighter (well maybe 2nd since technically Holyfield is still active). It is not even close. SRR is the greatest.
