so i was watching the vitali fight again on youtube, even though it was one round solis looked pretty good. even though he was a fat **** his combinations were VERY fast, he was sort of trying to fight the way haye was against wlad but was throwing more.

i then checked out a few of his other fights and he has some serious talent, why doesn't he get his fat ass in shape?

Seemed like when he left Cuba and had freedom he just felt like pigging out.

Yeah he would be really dangerous if he was 100% dedicated. But he's not unfortunately.

**** knows but I can't think of many successful Cuban pros - Gamboa being the obvious exception. Especially heavyweights.

First round against Vitali looked like the upset was on. He seemed to have the perfect gameplan.

I watched a fight of his awhile back and thought his footwork was awful, he looks strong and could be a force if in shape, I'd like to see him in with arreola.

yeah he looked sharp as **** and had some fluid combos!

i dont think he really wanted it though, looked like he wasnt even bothered about the injury.

You can forget about ever seeing him in shape. If he's not going to be motivated to get into good shape for a world heavyweight title fight at which point will he...? I thought that might have been the time he'd really get into shape, I thought he might have been taking it easy because he's talented and he knows he can beat scrubs in shape or not. But he simply had to be in shape for that fight. His heart isn't in the game.

Solis had Vitaili Kiltschko backing up, he's only opponent that the Kiltschko brothers have fought of late.

"That came out and claimed the centre of the ring"

coupled with the fact he was already out of shape pre and post Vitali and then with ligament knee damage that is going to take months of hard work to come back from, and with his bulk, he will never be anywhere near 100% again.

Odlanier Solis is a technically perfect heavyweight. It's a pity he got a serious injury against Vitali. Solis even if he is just close to his best shape with no injury problems would be a force against anyone. I'm not sure if he can come back 100% with that knee injury. A real shame, so much potential. There was a reason why he won every amateur competition he entered.

Solis is the greatest heavyweight ever.
