I don't know about scared, but if Floyd blows away Ortiz, and Pac has issues with Marquez, then they will be very worried.

Using the you're only as good as your last fight theory Roach has to have concerns about putting his guy in with Floyd.

Whether you say Manny had cramps, or was getting old, he didn't look as good as he was SUPPOSED to look against Mosley, and his movement was slacking, and his whole fighting style is based around being mobile. If Manny really had cramps, and Mosley had blisters I say that equals their excuses out, and makes it an even playing field.

Proof (my version at least)

Taking The Marquez fight at a higher weight to give his fighter an advantage, because he is unsure how much Manny has in the tank.

Roach admitting after all this time he still would have to use Mayweather vs Oritiz fight to draw up a game plan for Floyd, so he's saying he never had a real game plan for Floyd!

Claiming Mayweather will never fight Manny even after Floyd went outside of himself to call Manny out which is not common. Roach must feel that Mayweather see's something in Manny he can exploit.

Now things can change if Manny happens to look dominate against Marquez, and Floyd looks exposed against Ortiz, then you will hear Roach say something like this:

"We will knock Floyd out in 6"

If Floyd looks good, and Manny looks old you will hear something like this:

" We are not gonna let Floyd dictate terms, we don't need him"

just be honest for a second, If floyd feels old, he will take on Khan instead of Pac himself, just be a fan of the sport for 1 second and stop being bias, both guys are feeling each other out.

I think people conveniently fail to look at the most obvious tell tale sign; The past 5 years of each fighters resume.

Floyd has been treating this time period with the MOST EXTREME caution fighting ONLY older fighters (Oscar & Shane) or fighters that have never scored a KO or have more than even 1 win as a Welter (Hatton,JMM,Ortiz)
Of those 5 fighters none have a WW win within a year or less of facing Floyd except Ortiz over a very unproven Berto.

Sure Floyd has all the skills but since 2006 facing this soft opposition and taking off in 2008 (the peak of dangerous WW's - cotto,marg, williams. clottey, cintron) it more than shows to me he is not 100% confident as a Welterweight.

Manny has shown no fear and no weakness and onluy raised his status in the same time period.

The same could be said for Pac performance since he came into the welter weight division. The only real threat he fought and he had the advantage, due to weight and timing of the fight, was Cotto. He didn't fight the same Oscar as Floyd did, Hatton or Mosley. Margarito did nothing to be in the ring with him, which we all knew the outcome to that fight before it even happen, and the same could be said about Clottey. When comparing both men welter weight records, Floyd out shines him more.

By fighting DLH, Mosely and Hatton, all who lost to Mayweatyher first? With Margarito(Suspended, coming off KO loss to Mosley), Clottey(Unproven, lost all significant figts), and Cottto(after being Koed by margarito)? Now, Pac fight Marquez at a weight he was destroyed by Mayweather at, but you say that Pac is 100 percent confident?I think you're biased

There is a reason why the fight between pacquiao and Marquez is at 144 and not any number.

They could have fought at145 or at 144 or even at full welter but they specifically chose 144.

And why would you be afraid of gayweather, he is actually more vulnerable now that he is older, less mobile, still punches like a girl and is even less active with all the mini-retirement and lost urge. The most that could happen to you is loss by decision and be punched 80 times with patter-pitter punches.

Ortiz will sting gYweather.

I think both trainers and fighters have fear and respect regarding one another.

Both fighters can hurt one another with what they bring to the table.

Anything else is just nonsense.
