It baffles me why British fans dont support Amir Khan and the hate in general

He isn't that popular in Bolton either.

groves has sparred kessler, froch, dirrell and haye and gave every one of them hell.

groves isnt your typical brit, like haye booth makes him go around the US sparring tough prospects and veterans.

 

I didn't like him before but the Maidana fight earned my respect, i was sure he was going to get knocked out and even though he nearly did he took his beating well and still won. How he survived the 10th round i still don't know. (i want a rematch but i doubt that will ever happen)

 

The whole race issue is beyond ignorance in my opinion.

Disliking someone because their ancestors are from a different place is so fukin stupid it beggars belief.

And i'm not just saying that as someone in a position of relative authority and a role model, I literally think the whole concept of racism is completely illogical.

Thinking khan is arrogant, fair enough, not liking his style, fair enough, not liking his heritage, you can fuk right off with that kind of opinion.

 

Plenty of Muslims in Bolton dislike Khan.

 

peter quillin is the real deal. look at what he did to brinkley in comparison to bute's performance. the guy is hardworking and hungry, smart fast and a good hitter.

he has as much of a chance against sergio as someone like golovkin.

i reckon he'd take it to groves and degale

I have no problems with Khan, he seems decent enough, and he has overcome setbacks to get back on track - you have to respect that.

British fans can be bizarre. They will throw their support 100% behind a total **** like Haye, yet will say that Khan's mild offenses are too much. They wont get behind a legitimate great champ (and good person) like Lewis. It's very much twisted.

Khan has a fairly typical personality for a boxer. But people of his race are very, very unpopular in Britain. Draw your own conclusions.

 

Froch has a lot of personality and he doesn't seem to be very popular in the UK, judging by what I read on these forums. He also has a very good resume and has shown a willingness to fight the best.

 

Man you are so off the radar its untrue.

We just like our fighters to have some humility .

Its not the colour of their skin and to say people of his race are very very unpopular just shows how little you know of Britain.

Quillin is a joke and it's only on ESB that some posters seem to think he's something special.

Bute carried Brinkley in that fight to make it a fight worth watching.

Quillin is less than Joe Greene.
