It was way closer than Max kellerman played it out to be. I thought Paul lost but he did keep his workrate up and that won him some rounds. Lara threw one punch at a time and landed a lot but he didn't make it 100% clear that he won all the rounds....

These robberies happen for a reason. Both guys get to continue forward with their careers and both are still in the title mix.

Paul can't fix his defense. I've never seen him make a mid fight or really any significant technical adjustments.

    He's done.

    Period.

I know I'm not telling anyone anything they don't, or shouldn't, already know. The amount of absolutely reprehensible decisions over the past couple of years has proven that it is all about money and the "sport" is dead. If there is a fight in which one guy is more marketable and can produce more $$$ for the networks and promoters, he will win. It's become that simple.

Tonight's ridiculous "decision" for Paul Williams was the icing on the cake. Almost makes me want to stop watching all together.

Soooo soooo sick of boxing's crap!....yet another fight decided by incompetent judges.
Boxing needs to go to 5 judges including the referee....maybe to include at least one former world boxing champion.

I think he got a credit for his inside work that HBO didn't acknowledge. I had it even through 8, 1-3 to Lara, 4-6 Williams, 7 Lara, 8 Williams, then I didn't score the last 4 had some folks come by. I think Lara landed the bigger shots obviously, but it wasn't quite as wide as some are making it out to be. I think Lara let off the Gas some and it cost him. He did a good job, and I think he could have been more aggressive, and asserted himself a little more down the stretch.

Fights themselves arent fixed(at least not on the elite level).... but some decisions clearly are.

    Well to boxing buddy........

    This is hardly anything new.

I was happy Casey Anthony was acquitted. No way a fighter should win a fight running and holding all night long.

Roy, Kellerman, and Papa was butt hurt because the judges repudiated them by giving the decision to Paul Williams, their big egos would not allow them to be wrong.

The same thing happy with the pundits who had Casey Anthony gulity and death row. They hate they were wrong.

Because he always sides with the African-American fighter. Why else?

No bro, not even close... even the press had Lara-Molina a draw. But Molina was more aggressive and thats why most people think he won.
Lara was raping PW with that left hand... at some point i though they will stop the fight.Even his corner ask him for a KO after 9 rds as the only way to win.
Molina by the way just beat Cintron.
