PW has been in there with best. Here it is he got knocked out in his last fight, but yet he wasn't afraid to be knocked out again, like most fighters. He put his chin on the line and it held up. Once that bum found out he couldn't knock out PW, he started holding and running.
Ok breh, you're right, it's far more reasonable to sit here and **** and moan about this grand conspiracy to **** Lara over, than to consider the fact there was about a 20 punch difference in landed punches, so approximately 2-3 per round, and that while Lara was Clearly more effective Williams was the aggressor, but I thought Lara won the fight. Never said I didn't but I felt it wasn't as wide a margin due to PW inside work, and Lara letting off the gas. Simple ad that.
This is only what's partly wrong with boxing. The last time there's been a decision that bad was the Roy Jones Jr bout in the Olympics. Nobody gave tonight's fight to Williams; not his trainer and not even Williams himself during the fight. On the flip side, we see the best three rounds in a long, long time between Antillon and Rios. The problem is these guys get paid peanuts compared to some champion who's been fighting bums and old names for a while now. And then of course there's Floyd who thinks he is boxing's nobility.
I can't believe this but i have to co-sign with this guy . Lara not only doesn't have punching power but he failed to connect shots during the last 3 rounds of the fight which are the most important ones when it's a close fight. This had shades of Trinidad/DLH.
Being the agressor doesn't mean a thing if you're not effective. It's simple, really. Williams' performance tonight, while gutsy, was the complete opposite of effective aggressiveness. Obviously PW has a great chin and Lara isn't that big of a puncher, still I felt that Lara would be landing on PW even with his eyes closed. It was a really bad performance by PW.
foreal. He seemed so disgusted and even brought up when he was robbed in Korea. He put it perfectly too and you could tell it sickened him
I wonder how williams feel?! I'm sure deep inside he feels he does not deserve it! Williams did not really show he was the better boxer. He was just lucky!!!
Obviously you were not watching the same fight that the majority of us watch, Lara was fighting a LHW not a JMW and that is what kept williams on his feet, Williams didn't have any inside and he hist Lara while they were tied up, Lara out boxed, out landed and connected the most telling and hurtful blows, he should had won the fight hands down.
Stop thowing the word bum around to refer to Lara you ****ing *****. Gold medalist with over 300 Amateur fights and numerous world amateur championships and in the pros beat paul williams. Just because your stupid noob ass hasnt heard the name, does not make him a bum. Your a ****ing bum!!! You stupid newb
