still a fight at one point GBP is going to have to make when they both clear out the divisions. Both had dominant performances. Who takes tha cake? I'm still going to go with Canelo. Lara was able to do what he does best and counter-punch P-Will a come-forward brawler. I simply think Canelo would out-work Lara when he throws his combos. It would be a technical boring fight, but a close one. I like Lara a lot, but Molina gave him fits.
Canelo easy, that 1-2 and running ain't gonna work against Canelo who will feint that **** and catch him hard.. he is not there to hit like Williams is.
Oscar & Shaefer wouldnt let the Ginger fraud within 500 miles of Lara. The day Canelo faces a top, prime fighter(which prob wont be til 2017)..... you'll see how limited he is. Lara would kick his ass.
What does Lara present that could destroy canelo? His amazing 1-2's? the speed? the running? Canelo would time the **** out of Lara, and would feint his ass and counter him hard... Believe me after Lara losing to Molina, and the way he fought.. I would bet they would make the fight.. But look lara is just comming off 2 losses so that is not a good fight for canelo as the haters would come out.
we don't see much footwork from Alvarez but we do see some head movement which will help him, I can envision a close fight though with Alvarez getting the decision.
Lara would give anyone in the division a tough time if not beat them. Alvarez does throw some nicely timed body shots that could benefit him against Lara but he'll have a hell'ova time landing it. Lara just passed a test that I feel is more challanging than any of Canelo's opponents. I gotta favor Lara against Canelo.
ID favor Canelo but only if he has a decent chin.... Most likely he just got hit on the button with one of those shots that would hurt anyone (by Cottos bro)...But we still dont know how good it is... Lara can punch and hes gonna test that chin... I think Canelo is a better all around fighter,does more things,but jury is still out... Rhodes was suppose to be a puncher but he didnt look like he wasnt hitting all that hard,and didnt committ.. IF Canelo has a good chin he beats every JM out there right now, including Cotto,Angulo,Lara,Molina.
I see that everybody is overreacting. Lara needs to improve his stamina, he was tired for half the fight. He was able to back up and throw one big shot at a time against Williams. He won't have that luxury against somebody like Canelo. Right now, I would fancy Canelo stopping Lara late.
You're deluded if you think Lara will fight Canelo the same way he fought Williams , Lara doesn't need to do that against a fighter like Canelo , Canelo would be WAY EASIER for Lara , I predict a Lara KO inside the first 3 rounds , Canelo is wayyy overrated . Peace .
ALvarez has good handspeed...Just slow afoot, at least he throws combos and hits you eveywhere.. Lara is quick and has power but hes selling him self short....He willl win a title someday and get some good wins..BUt hell fall short from being elite if he dont add something. HE was bothered by Molinas busy punching...ALvarez hits harder his combos more effective upstairs,downstairs all in one flurry. Lara will be troubled by that... Lara onlywins this by haymaker.. if he cant ko ALvarez he will get beat up.
