Do you agree with these Tiers of Greatness for 90s-00s fighters?

    Hate, love whatever.

However it's sliced they're 4 of the greatest boxers this side of the 90's.

Only Tier One is in order. I couldn't be arsed working out an order for the rest.

To be honest, I hadn't planned on doing any other decades, until cesare suggested it there. Maybe I will, unsure. But anyway, no, I won't be doing an ATG top 100, it's not something that interests me, I prefer the top 50 wins threads.

Of course the problem with this idea is that the thread we are on is not strictly a 90s/00s thread, it's a combination of both with a stipulation attached (the fighters must have won their 1st world titles after 1990 and peaked after 1990).

Ok then 70's plus 80's. Fighter must have peaked or won their first title after 1970 :)

(Altho be wary of the mag backlash when you put duran in tier1!)

RDJ was a decent enough amateur apperently and he is a fun mod and a decent poster - for a douchelander - but he doesn´t belong at this list at all. :D

 Poor old MAG. So biased.

I'm thinking of doing an 80s one (fighters must have peaked or won first title after '80) because it means the guys who fought on into the 90s like Whitaker, McCallum, Chavez and Holyfield could be included, as they weren't in this one.

its interesting that in your tier 3, you have james toney who is a twice proven banned anabolic steroid user, as well as including shane mosley and roy jones in the system who are both proven banned anabolic steroid users.

do you feel that being a proven banned anabolic steroid user taints your views of a fighter in any way or did you sweep it under the carpet and pretend it never happened when devising your tier system?

interesting, i ask a question thats relevant to the thread and you go off into a cut and paste frenzy again to deflect from the fact that you didn't answer the relevant question i posed.

i'll ask it again, incase you missed it 1st time round by mistake whilst you cried like a homo to the mods :crybaby

    :thumbsup Nice work.

    Some points:

    - I wouldn't have Lopez above Barrera or Morales, considering that they fought and beat much, much better opposition in their careers. If he'd fought Carbajal and Gonzalez I'd definitely place him there as I firmly believe he had the ability to beat both, but I don't award credit for hypotheticals.

    - I'd definitely have put Johnny Tapia in if I was being comprehensive and trying to include all fighters. A fighter I very much admire and rate.

    - I'm glad you mentioned Quartey. Sadly, his resume doesn't merit inclusion in the tiers, but he's a real favourite of mine and I'm glad he's now had an honourable mention in this thread.
