V.Exciting undefeated KO puncher Mike Perez is a short slugger at 6'0 with canny good speed And heaps of power, build like a brick-shithouse he weighs in @ 220-244lbs of ripped maybe-roided muscles, BUT does he have teh headmovements, combos And chin to be a great short slugger? Can Mike Perez unify teh top ABC belts And Ring Mag belts for a short And sizzling reign of terror And intimidation?? OR will Perez be more like Tua, And KO former ABC beltholders, But not be good skilled enough to beat teh real Champs? Is Perez better then other known-name Tyson clones like Morrison, Chagaev, Brewster, Povetkin, Boystov And Chisora?

He should do well in today's division unless he pulls an Odlanier Solis (and there have been signs that he might). Big fan of his style, not that I'd compare him to a Mike Tyson exactly. His main offense is the looping right hook that he looks to time over the opponent's punches. The technique still needs some polishing but over time he could turn into a decent "giant killer". He is one to look out for the post-Klitschko era of heavyweight boxing.

he does seem to have some ability to get to larger men, and reasonable power. but he's sloppy as ****, leaves his chin out in the open, wads in with his hands down and his jab is flicked as a range finder and setup rather than any kind of weapon. that will do him well against guys of fields caliber (ie: ****) but once he steps it up he better resolve those issues

Ok m8, you are v.critical with sensible negative points.

Do you think Perez needs to hook-up with a trainer like Teddy Atlas, to learn to fight more like Mike Tyson? :think

i'm one of the few open teddy atlas fans on the forum so i'll say that wouldn't be the worst idea:rofl at any rate, he does have natural, athletic talent and the right temperment. you rarely saw "white tyson" chagaev go after opponents with such zeal. he's got some speed, some power and importantly, some balls. that could go a long way in this heavyweight division...but he needs to tighten up, learn some defense and shorten his punches. but maybe he could go places:bbb

Tyson should train Kirkland, Kirkland would fit well into the peek a boo style.
As long as that loss to Ishida doesnt affect him too much

Thats the problem, i feel like hes just fighting bums, bums and more bums, they need to bring him along slowly so he learns.

A lot of fighters are given 20 bums to ko and then fight for the title and lose, it dont work like that.

Look at Haye and Adamek. Adamek should do better than Haye at heavyweight because he was brought along correctly.

    ?

Your point about not fighting bums til a title shot is lost in that comparison. Haye was matched sternly early, evidently, as he only has what, 27 fights all in?
