the fight was stipulated at 144. curtis gave up the 4 pounds and agreed and based his entire training camp around making 144. meanwhile gavin decides to come in at 147 and lets everyone know a week before the fight. obviously being the promotors cover boy he gets his way and woodhouse gets an extra 2 grand. 3 pounds is huge at the lower divisions and curtis already agreed to 10'4. curtis isn't happy about being treated like a mug by frankie

 

3lbs isn't a huge difference at that weight you simpleton.

If he can't make the weight what would you rather him do? Pull out? Turn up at the weigh in overweight?

Woodhouse isn't being forced to take the fight at 10.7 pal. He's agreed to the weight now and the fact the WBO Intercontinental is now on the line? That's all that matters now. At least he has some time to prepare. Better than leaving it to the weigh in IMO

 

It's pretty poor form from Gavin and his team to be honest and it does, from the outside, seem that there may be a problem with his commitment.

Sooner or later, regardless of the his talent, Gavin will be found out, for his obvious lack of discipline & professionalism will be the reason why he'll get found out.

I am some-what concerned that Woodhouse has come down for 12st 2lbs, 170lbs. That means he has lost nearly 26lbs, 2lbs short of Two Stone, for the original agreed weight of 144lbs!

I'll be happy is Woodhouse pulls the Win out the bag!

 

to be fair Gavin aint a fighter who rely's on size, i cant see the extra 3lbs making to much of a difference because of this and if Woodhouse has to come down from 170 then its only gona make that last lil bit of weight to come off easier

Since the Marquez Mayweather debacle this type of thing makes me see red. So Curtis gets chucked a few quid, it still doesn't make it an evenly matched fight. There are weight classes for a reason. The BBBofC / regulating bodies should exact heavy fines for this IMO.

Dont see how anyone can defend this other then the gavin arselickers. This,combined with the lack of respect shown to woodhouse at the confrence leaves a nasty taste. Shame as i geniunelly believe Gavin has the tools to go to the top!

 

Come on mate. the difference between LWW and WW is huge....if fat lad can't make weight then he should say so and save us all the grief
